ZARIA Hotel & Retreat Center

Der Poolbereich sah ein bißchen wie eine Baustelle aus. Sonst war alles in Ordnung.

Zimmerausstattung sehr heruntergekommen und teils kaputt (alte Matratzen, löchrige und fleckige Moskitonetze/Vorhänge, Nachttischlampe bestand nur aus einem losen Kabel ohne Licht, Balkontisch verrostet, Bad-Armaturen sehr verkalkt, Schimmel ect), sehr renovierungsbedürftig, sehr laut (direkt an der befahrenen Straße ohne Fenster), allgemein eher Baustellen-Feeling und Hostel-Niveau - dafür viel zu teuer… sehr schade, Anlage hätte viel Potenzial

As explained by the managers, the hotel is currently under renovation, which was felt during our stay. The bathroom was in a very poor state, and installations were outdated/nonexistent. The water of the swimming pool was blurry and the swimming pool is much smaller than on the pictures. I think the hotel will be awesome after renovation, but we were disappointed not to have been informed before and the price is high for a hotel in renovation.

Die Zimmer eher Standard besonders, leider sehr hellhörig. Die Anlage ist nicht fertig, teilweise wirkt sie wie ein verlassener Lost Place. So schade dass hier das Potenzial besonders im Poolbereich nicht genutzt wird. Nur eine Liege dort, 70% der Lampen defekt , ….
Alles etwas zu teuer für den Zustand

No nos gustó la habitación, la cama era muy incómoda, las habitaciones eran muy pegadas una de la otra y se escucha todo (no hay privacidad en ese sentido), no hay vista bonita desde la habitación, solo hojas y matorrales casi pegados a la ventana, pero no se podía apreciar ninguna vista de naturaleza o paisaje… no nos gustó la cena (pan con pasta muy sazonada) y eso fue justo lo que indicamos que no comíamos, y el desayuno era pan y pancake (harina de nuevo), ya estábamos súper inflamados. No había higiene, el baño del restaurante estaba repleto de escrementos y eso me dio mucho asco ver eso justo después de desayunarme. 😔 No nos gustaron las atenciones. Quién nos recibió en el hotel me hacía preguntas personales como: si quien me acompañaba era mi esposo?!.. No le respondí. Eso no me pareció profesional ni ético. La piscina estaba sucia, no pudimos bañarnos por eso. No vale la pena el precio que se paga por la estadía. Tuvimos que irnos antes para que no se nos dañara el fin de semana completo después de un viaje tan largo. Fuimos a otro hotel cercano y ahí sí fue otro nivel.

Estaban en obra y había demasiado ruido.

No hay aire acondicionado y como es tan húmedo. No está tan cómodo

La carretera per accedir a l'hotel té trams que són una mica difícils de fer amb el cotxe. Són 2km aproximadament.

Wie eigentlich überall in der Dominikanischen Republik wird abends irgendwo in der Umgebung laut Musik gehört. Da wird die eigentlich schöne Idee der offenen Zimmer leider zum Nachteil, wenn man schlafen möchte. Da können die in der Unterkunft aber natürlich nichts dran machen.

It's right on the main road to the beach and it gets noisy. One of the main reasons we went to Samana is because of its remoteness but the resort location is less than ideal. We heard loud music in the night and traffic (loud motor bikes) starting early in the morning. The rooms also don't have any windows, so we couldn't keep the bugs or the noise out. The mosquito nets are not sufficient, they had a few large holes in them. We didn't report this to the staff but I hope they will replace the netting.
