Very good location
Wasn’t a 5 star experience - good customer service, limited housekeeping, no complimentary water, no bag support
Location History
We were hoping to have a night cap in the lobby area and when we arrived back after our dinner the entire lobby/reception area was like a nightclub with loud music and models
Close to Mgh.
Ordered room service, took over 2 hours. Nd had to order my meal 3 times which still ended up being wrong.
The location was perfect. Cool hotel, friendly staff, live music.
There was no coffee maker in the room. The food at the hotel was very expensive for what the offerings were.
Two things I liked about the property:
1) the history
2) the cleaning ladies & the valet men
1) very hot in the rooms (air conditioner says 65 but it feels like 75-80 the entire time)
2) no early check ins
3) pretty dirty and run down
3) late night room service randomly closes early (it’s supposed to be available during the weekend— and it wasn’t)
4) no coffee, water, or other amenities in the room
5) the worst pillows/ beds I’ve ever used
6) the front desk staff are cold and appear disassociated 90% of the time
***this place needs better management because it is a real mess***

Rooms are really great, staff is super helpful, everything in the guest area is always clean.
Right at the entrance there is a bit of a damp smell that is extended all through the lobby. Like fried food in a heated room interacted with the carpet too long. Would always (!) stay here again, it was truly great, but that they should deep clean or replace the carpet.
Just enjoyed the ambiance of the place -- the ways in which history was woven into a modern day experience, up to and including the decor in my room. Staff were extremely polite and helpful from the moment I walked in to the moment of my departure. (Also, very cool to stay in a hotel that has a 13th floor!)
Had to drive around the Charles St / Cambridge St overpass "octopus" a good three or four times to find a proper entry to the front of the hotel. Perhaps due to road work going on at the time?
Right by hospital which was our destination
Noise outside
Room service location and property itself is great.
This property is in serious need of comprehensive training on guest relations.
A stunning lobby in an unbeatable central location. Good value and comfortable room. Great food and drink onsite.
Everything from the architecture of the hotel to the history behind it! Staff and service were top notch!
Nothing
Location
Very loud DJ playing in the lobby on Friday and Saturday. It disturbed the guests trying to rest early night.
