The Castle by Don Louis

It's an interesting place, very random and eclectic but that's what I liked about it. It actually does feel like a castle lol. The staff were very friendly and engaging..we ended up having dinner at the hotel which was lovingly cooked up by our hostess and we were provided with authentic Sri Lankan food. The view from our room was amazing.

Koshali and her staff were exceptional in looking after us and we were made to feel so welcome. Clean and Comfortable Hotel. My daughter and one of the other guests, Rob, had their birthdays whilst stopping there and Koshali organised a joint surprise tea with a themed cricket cake for them which was such a great touch. She also got my daughter a Sri Lankan cricket shirt as a present. The food was lovely and my wife took up the opportunity of Koshali's cookery knowledge to make some traditional Sri Lankan dishes to cook back home. We were there for the cricket so stopped there longer than most of the guests who were travelling and in doing so got to know Koshali and her team very well. The hotel is tucked away and out of all the hustle and bustle of the city which was ideal for us but you are soon able to get back in it with a short tuk tuk trip which is entertainment in itself. When we left, Koshali got up at 5.30 am to see us off which was fitting end to what was truly a wonderful stay so thank you Koshali. We will be back!!

We had a Suite for 2 nights; very spacious and very quiet with a private stair access.

A perfect romantic getaway and our second time staying here and once again, it did not disappoint. The staff gave us a very warm welcome early in the morning straight after our direct flight to the hotel, which we truly appreciated. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious with a great variety. The staff were extremely attentive, and the management was friendly and professional. The pool is well maintained, and the hotel offers excellent facilities including a sauna, gym, shisha, and table tennis. Highly recommended, and we would definitely love to come back again.

Personnel au petit soin.

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Kandy, Sri Lanka. The manager, Koshali, was incredibly helpful and always ready to assist with anything we needed, which made our stay feel very welcoming.

The staff were also extremely friendly, adding to the warm and comfortable atmosphere throughout our stay. The food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the room quality was excellent—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.

The hotel is very easy to access, and the surroundings are calm and peaceful, perfect for unwinding after exploring the city. The rates are also very affordable, offering great value for the experience.

Overall, a truly pleasant and relaxing stay. Highly recommended!

The hotel has a unique charm and is very nice and clean, also the breakfast was very generous and delicious. The playroom and a playground for kids is a big plus. The bed was very comfortamble.

Lokalizacja z dala od zgiełku na szczycie wzgórza. W nocy bardzo przyjemnie się spało. Hotel zapewnia wszelkie udogodnienia: klimatyzację, suszarkę do włosów, kosmetyki itp. Można zamówić obiad. Menadżerka bardzo dba o komfort gości. Personel jest przemiły. Polecam. Bardzo fajne miejsce.

We loved our stay here. Up in the hills but just a quick tuk tuk ride into the town. The staff were fantastic and the breakfast was very good with lots of options. Would absolutely recommend if you want somewhere outside of the town.

The breakfast was delicious with a selection of Sri Lankan and western style choices. The owner of the hotel arranged a driver to take us to Ella with excursions to the botanical gardens and a tea plantation en route. The owner is a very informative and caring lady.

The room has excellent view to valley. The room is clean. Staffs are very friendly. The breakfast is good.

Aamiainen tavanomainen Sri Lankan aamiainen, laatu hyvä. Hotellin emäntä oli aivan ihana ja avulias. Uima-allas hyvä ja hotelli siisti.

We did a late check in but everything was ready... And very well arranged. We did not stay long to use any facility.... However no complaints... Breakfast was very good.

L’établissement est très bien adapté aux familles : jeux piscine. Le personnel est agréable et conseille pour les activités.
