Generally good
Pros:

The pool terrace was excellent and the room very comfortable.

Cons:

The welcoming buffet was excellent but the rest of the meal didn’t meet the same high standard. Unfortunately I had a bad stomach from breakfast on the second morning although I only ate Birchers muesli and was then unable to keep anything else inside! Thankfully I was able to participate in all the excursions so only missed out on the meals but it took 4 days to pass! I reported it to the staff who were unbelievably unconcerned and it was the fellow passengers who kindly provided me with helpful medication.

A Great Way to see Egypt.
Pros:

1. Excellent courteous staff throughout the boat.
2. Food choice was extensive, the restaurant manager ensured that something special was prepared for my wife & me at every meal, both of us being vegetarians.
3. The Egyptologist was extremely well informed and helpful all the way through.
4. House keeping was good, cleanliness & hygiene was of top notch standards.
5. The on board shop was well priced, we ordered Cartouche's for the family, must say he did a great job.

Cons:

The only drawback was the lack of time at Edfu, the lines to enter early morning were long and we barely got any time at the site. Other than that its a great cruise.

Incredible hospitality onboard!
Pros:

We had a fantastic stay on the Lily. Our suite was spacious, comfortable, and offered stunning views of the Nile throughout the journey. The bed was very comfortable and the extra space made a big difference.

The rooftop terrace was one of our favourite spots to relax between excursions and chat with other guests — such a lovely atmosphere.

The food exceeded our expectations, with fresh fish every day and a good mix of international and Egyptian dishes. Everything felt well-prepared and thoughtful.

Most importantly, the service was outstanding. The crew were attentive, kind, and always remembered our preferences. A highlight was when they surprised us with a tray of Egyptian cookies to take home after we mentioned how much we liked them. This level of hospitality truly sets the Lily apart.

We would highly recommend this cruise to friends and family — it made our Nile trip unforgettable.

Excellent Nile Cruise Experience
Pros:

What an incredible cruise that offers all guests an opportunity to discover the various temples, tombs and sights along the Nile. The staff on the Movenpick Royal Lotus were phenomenal. They really do look after their guests with so much care and efficiency. The whole experience was well run with really personal, small groups arranged for exploring the sights with a tour guide. Food was great with something for everyone to enjoy.

Cons:

Communication before the trip was a bit of an issue but we needed have worried as everything went to plan.

I feel happy but expect serious review of tipping issue
Pros:

The property was nice, clean and parked in a good location also the food was nice, most of the staff was friendly and polite specially the guide who was very friendly and professional and provided very useful information

Trip of a lifetime with amazing service, delicious food and true charm!
Pros:

The service is excellent and given with warmth and charm. We were a large group (14!) and when we said we wanted another tour guide that was kid friendly - they immediately brought someone else (Tamer!) who was amazing and able to engage and educate the children. The quick response and the grace it was done with was so appreciated by all of us!

Also, everyday the dining manager checked if we were happy, whether we needed something bespoke for the kids and delivered (pizza was requested by teens!). The food was excellent and we are all missing the chili sauce!

The reception staff was attentive and responsiveness and the cleaning staff were excellent.

Also, the boat has the most wonderful roof deck with a beautiful pool layout. The striped umbrellas and towels made me feel like we were in the Riviera on the Nile!

Cons:

Bathrooms are a bit dated but absolutely fine. And the velvet cushion covers on the pool deck chairs should be changed to cotton as it doesn’t fit the setting and feels so heavy.
