The hotel is beautiful and excellently located—just steps away from the most picturesque spots, affordable restaurants, and great pubs. The building itself is like a journey into the past, with a stunning interior. Our room was small but cozy, and the view from the window was simply breathtaking.
There were a couple of minor inconveniences, such as the toilet being on another floor and a very narrow, steep staircase. However, these were more than compensated by the charming lobby, a lovely courtyard with a smoking area, and a well-equipped kitchen that had everything we needed—dishes, tea, and coffee.
We are very grateful to the staff for creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests.
We will definitely return to this hotel!
We had a beautiful room. The common area was really great as well. There is a small kitchen with tea & coffee available. The location was fantastic. There is a lovely wine bar next door.
Nothing. I think it’s terrific
Zoals beschreven!
location was excellent
after reading reviews I contacted owners who assured me that there would be soap. There were NO toiletries at all despite this being on facility list. I emailed about instructions for wifi. They did not answer. We used free WiFi from nearby cafe.
No wardrobe as advertised. Shower was old and needs a refurb
This was not a deluxe room as advertised.
Last night had to call police because of disturbance in room opposite.Messaged owners. They responded (probably concerned about possible damage to room) They did not ask after our safety or apologise
Just don't stay here if you want what's advertised because the reality is very different.
Location, balcony, roof top and view
Pictures look far better than reality. Not very clean. Mouse droppings in one of the bedrooms
-The house is simply amazing and fascinating. I'm sure the owners put a lot of love into restorations and decorations!
-There was a communal kitchen, a lovely sitting area and a garden directly beneath the cathedral
-The bed is comfy
-Our window was directly next to a cathedral window
-Check-in and -out is quite easy with key boxes
-The location is awesome, directly in the city center
-I would return!
-There was no soap or shampoo. Personally, I bring my own shampoo, but there should be at least soap in every bathroom. We also only had half a toilet paper roll.
-Our bathroom door would not lock or even close properly and the doorknob fell off, so it was quite uncomfortable going to the bathroom with a semi-open door...
-During the first day there was a very strong toilet smell in the building
-When I booked our room on Booking, there were two same-priced rooms available and one of them had these beautiful murals on the wall, which I immediately booked. So I was super excited, but unfortunately we got a different room
Location is 10* and the room had a fireplace. I can appreciate the history of the building
This is not a hotel, you get the key from a box outside and find your way to the room. We booked a deluxe room but there was nothing deluxe about it. The toilet seat was broken, shower room missing a door, no shampoo or soap. the room is not maintained and not so clean, there is no service at the location. In fact there was no staff and no owners. The Electricity fell out in the whole building and owners were not around to get this fixed, instead via the phone they guided us to the dark basement to fix it ourselves. Not what you expect when you book accommodation….
The central location and period property were superb.
Host messages allowing an early check in.
4pm check in is extremely late in the day.
No soap to shower or wash your hands with. We didn’t even shower as nothing to shower with. The communal toilet didn’t even have soap in it. I messaged the host asking for soap but no response. They did kindly respond to offer an early check in but did not respond when I mentioned there was no soap. I have stayed in the most basic cheap motels before and the minimum they offer is soap. This place wasn’t cheap definitely not worth the cost of the stay.
No host was at the premises to assist with queries and needs of tenants.
Very thin walls, we could hear the people next door like they were in our room.
Under the side tables was mountains of dust and hair as clearly hadn’t been cleaned for a long time.
They offered tea and coffee in the communal area upstairs but only 2 tea cups for a whole hotel.
Minimal linen offered in the rooms. No wifi or basic essentials. Zero in room facilities..
The location is just absolutely amazing right next to the cathedral, you can't find anything better for this price. We booked the deluxe double room and it's exactly as on the photos. You're obviously in the middle of the city which means street noises but it wasn't as bad as I had expected it to be. The building has so much character inside and outside. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the small electric heater worked very well for the size of the room. If there had been an extra blanket to put over the comforter I we would have turned the heater off at night. There is nobody at the house but the instructions for check in and other info are very clear. We definitely enjoyed our stay.
The shower had sliding glass doors, the left door hung out of its hinges and didn't "slide" so getting into the shower was a bit difficult.
