Conveniently located but not very clean.
Pros:

This hotel is very conveniently situated between Temple of Heaven and Forbidden City. Easily to reach with taxi, Subway with some attractions within walking distance. There is some real Beijing life taking place in adjacent area so it’s showing some interesting climate and the way people live and work.
Plus- There is a very friendly cat hanging out in the lobby.

Cons:

1. It’s dirty. The corridor flooring is laid out in carpets which have not been cleaned for a very long time. There were stains and cigarette damage visible.
2. Despite being a non-smoking room, ours had a disgusting smell of cigarette smoke being embedded in the furniture and walls. We complained to the receptionists about it several times, but the problem wasn’t solved.
3. We had a two-storey room, and the AC was only capable of cooling down the lower level. On the upper level there was an immense amount of heat accumulating every day, so we were sweating all night long. The small and noisy fan which was provided did not help the situation.
4. There is a drink bar in front of the place, but the hotel is unable to provide breakfasts. The bar only opens in the evening, serving drinks. There is a coffee machine in the lobby, which is paid extra (9.9Y). The cloth on armchairs in the lobby has not been cleaned ever since.
5. The staff. They were friendly and polite, but were passive and unable to communicate addressing the needs of guests. Our inquiries on tackling the smell in the room remained unresolved. They didn’t provide extra cleaning nor offered to change the room.
On checkout they asked us NOT to publish a review, knowing it will likely address the shortcomings and issues we’ve raised.

Cons:

Location was very run down, I think the location rating for this hotel is extremely misleading. It’s down a dark alley that feels a bit sketchy at night. The volume of noise coming from the hotel was out of this world and caused us to lose sleep every night we were here. The cleanliness rating is also pretty misleading, the room is cleaned every day but it’s hard to look past all the grimy corners and details in the room.

Amazing
Pros:

The staff was very kind and helpful. The location is perfect, walking distance from Temple of Heaven, and also a 40 min walk from Qianmen street and Tiananmen Square. The room is clean. Fresh towels and cosmetics are provided everyday. There is also a laundry room. As Amap may confuse the location sometimes, it is better to look for the name: Hangshe Hotel

Meilleur hôtel que nous avons fait en Chine
Pros:

Pros:

Clean and comfortable rooms in modern style. Lobby with seats and a bar attached. Friendly staff. 8-9 minutes walk to the metro.

Cons:

Taxi got lost finding it!
You do walk through what seems not a great area to get to the metro but we had no problems and used a small local shop several times for water etc
