Ok for the town. Not any other choices.
Pros:

Location on the Nile. Nice breakfast

Cons:

A bit run down. Bathroom and general maintenance lacking. Police follow you around everywhere.

Świetne śniadania, ogromne rozczarowanie pokojem i obiadem.
Pros:

Śniadania naprawdę przerosły moje oczekiwania — smaczne, świeże i bardzo różnorodne. Obsługa również była miła i pomocna, choć część personelu praktycznie nie mówi po angielsku. Po 14 dniach podróży po Egipcie nauczyliśmy się jednak dogadywać na różne sposoby 😉 I to właściwie tyle dobrego, co mogę powiedzieć o tym miejscu. Wziąłem ten hotel tylko dla tego ponieważ nie było innego w okolicy. Polecam na jedną noc bez fanfar. Trzeba się liczyć z eskortą Policji co miało swój urok.

Cons:

Po 14 dniach podróży po Egipcie wiele rzeczy przestaje człowieka dziwić i człowiek po prostu przyzwyczaja się do różnych sytuacji. Ale uczciwie mówiąc — w Europie taki pokój zostałby przez nas od razu zareklamowany i żądalibyśmy zmiany. Łazienka była po prostu brudna, a cały pokój wyglądał, jakby został „ogarnięty” jedną szmatą na szybko przed przyjazdem gości.
Przyjechaliśmy akurat w porze obiadowej, więc zeszliśmy coś zjeść do restauracji. Pomijając szczegóły — poza zupą praktycznie wszystko było niezjadliwe. Skusiliśmy się na wątróbkę, bo przez cały pobyt w Egipcie, od ulicznych budek po restauracje, jedliśmy naprawdę wyśmienicie. Tutaj spotkało nas ogromne rozczarowanie — mięso twarde jak podeszwa.

Pros:

Отель в самом центре Сохага.
На набережной р. Нил.
Красивый номер с 7 этажа.
Жили в 714.

Номер средний по размеру.
Душевые принадлежности в ванной на 1 раз.

На 1 ночь номер вполне подойдет!
Отель скорее как командировочный, чем туристический.

Cons:

На балконе все в пыли.
Сетка, которая для защиты от комаров и мух, аж коричневая - никто никогда не протииал.
Полы, тоже не первой свежести.
В душевой - лейка требует срочной замены.

Завтраки посредственные.
Можно поесть, но ненаестся.
Адаптированы под местное население.

In dem Chaos einer Stadt war es eine kleine Oase auf dem Weg von Abydos nach Kairo. Der Nilblick war o. k.Aber ohne Palmen etc. - das Fruehstueck reichhaltig.

Cons:

Sohag als Stadt ist nicht interessant

Leuke uitdagende locatie
Pros:

Locatie aan de Nijl, lux hotel volgens Egyptische begrippen. Een aantal gereserveerde parkeerplekken. Er komen weinig Europese touristen, daardoor maakten ze zich zorgen over onze veiligheid. Diner was lekker.

Cons:

De locatie is spannend. Ze willen dat er een beveliger mee gaat als je naar buiten gaat. Wij vonden dat niet nodig maar kregen op straat veel aandacht. Daardoor zijn we thuis gebracht door een politieman. Maar we voelden ons niet onveilig. Sfeer op straat was goed.
Ontbijt was simpel maar dit had te maken met de rammedam (na zonsopkomst).
Kamer en badkamer eenvoudig maar schoon.

Real Gem, best hotel in Sohag right on the Nile.
Pros:

The location overlooking the Nile is beautiful. So lovely to watch daily life and the City at night. Yes is noisy but that's in most Cities across Egypt.

Cons:

Bath could be bigger.
