We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Although it is located above a pub, the room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and appeared to have been recently refurbished. Everything felt clean and well maintained, and we had a very comfortable stay. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, and we would happily stay here again.
- Friendly and informative host. Room well equipped with fridge, microwave, good size TV. Bathroom was clean, well maintained. Well priced.
- Busy road next to hotel- alot of road noise- not recommended for light sleepers, although earplugs are supplied in room.
- only minor- no fans or air conditioning- room felt hot during summer heatwave.
A great place to stay. The room was immaculate and the owner welcoming and engaging. He was also very knowledgeable about the area, and pointed out things to do and places to eat while I waited for a ferry. The hotel is in a great location - close to the train station and a 5 minute walk from a few big supermarkets and places to eat. The pub downstairs is very nice. The locals are very welcoming and there was no issue with noise after I returned to my room. The hotel was secure and the local area seemed safe, which as a lone female traveller was important to me. I would definitely stay there again.

The hosts are superb and nothing is a problem, rooms are clinically clean, comfortable and well decorated. Food in the pub is great and great value, we have stayed a few times now and love the place and the hospitality.
The room was nicely done out. It was clean and comfortable , and the owner was friendly, giving us suggestions where to have an evening meal and breakfast as these aren’t provided. Just what we needed for a one night stay.
It was an extremely hot day and the owner did apologise that we were at the front of the property however suggested that closing the window and drawing the curtain would help. As we arrived around 5pm it would have been nice if that had been done earlier to prevent the heat from building up! A fan had been provided but it was not very effective. However there was a fridge which was a definite plus!

The room was freshly decorated and comfortable, the parking was right behind the property and location was good for where i needed o be for work, not much more 'good' i can give the property as didn't have food or beer there.
Music blaring until 11.30 pm then customers signing and chanting and arguing int he bar until gone midnight then drunk guests trying my door at 12.30 and shouting in the corridor. Wifi was totally useless. No-one about in the morning when checking out to speak with about the issues i had. Wont be using this place again.
