Pros:

We had a lovely stay here in the dorms. The staff were incredibly sweet and couldn’t do enough to help. The owner, Ushanth Alex drove us to a tea factory and took us on little stops on the way back to see horses and gave lots of great recommendations! I would highly recommend staying here.

The owner is very kind and offers plenty of help without being pushy about activities. Plus, the view from the hotel is fantastic!

Cons:

You have to climb a bit to reach the hotel, but it's totally worth it for the amazing view.

So bad.
Pros:

Terrible accommodation experience. I strongly advise against booking this place, as the host intentionally overcharges and defrauds foreign tourists.

1. Duplicate card charge and delayed refund: The POS machine processed two identical payments during checkout. I pointed out the error and repeatedly asked the host to refund the duplicate charge, yet he denied everything and dragged his feet on resolving it. This wasted my time and made me miss my train by three minutes. Only after my local driver stepped in to negotiate did he finally give the refund.

2. Unauthorized surcharge offline: The total tax-inclusive price listed on Booking was $49.49, but the host added an extra $10 without notice and demanded 20,000 LKR in total, refusing to follow the agreed online rate.

3. Severe defects in room facilities: There was no hot water in the room; I could only take cold showers, failing to meet basic living standards for guests.

The host preys on foreign tourists by taking advantage of our tight travel schedules and unfamiliarity with local currency to overcharge and deny wrongful charges. He lacks basic integrity, and I do not recommend any travelers to book this accommodation.

Mooie plek, goed ontbijt, super aardig personeel
Pros:

Een mooie plek net even buiten het centrum. Geen last van stads geluiden. Personeel is super aardig en doet zo hard zijn best. Wij gebruikten dit hotel voor 1 nacht ivm de trein naar Ellla.

Nice
Pros:

I didn't expect Nuwara Eliya to be this cold haha, but the place is warm enough that I didn't really feel it until I exited the hotel. The road to the top is long and twisty and turny but quite scenic. Staff was quite helpful.
