Ein Paradies für Leute, die auf Trubel und Strandhotels gerne verzichten.Wir haben uns sofort in das familiengeführte Hotel und das ruhige Dorf mit Taverne, Kirche und kleinem Marktplatz verliebt.Man braucht ein Auto um Ausflüge zu machen.Matala ist etwa 20 km entfernt, wohin wir abends gerne zum Sonnenuntergang gefahren sind.Wir kommen nächstes Jahr wieder.

Grand raffinement , calme, authanticité

De kamers zijn nieuw, wat onmiddelijk opvalt is de degelijkheid van de materialen en het oog voor detail.
De service die de koppels aan de gasten leveren is onberispelijk, echt alles wordt met een welgemeende glimlach voor u gedaan.
Zowel het ontbijt als de eventuele diners zijn superlekker.
Wij waren de laatste gasten van het seizoen en verbleven enkele dagen alleen in het complex maar de service bleef evenwel van een zeer hoog niveau, altijd respectvol voor onze privacy maar zeer aanspreekbaar en familiaal indien wij daar zin in hadden.
Goede tips en aanwijzingen gekregen en als wij tijdens het ontbijt onze dagplanning voorlegden kegen we steevast nog wat goede raad voor een geslaagde dagtrip.
Het complex ligt in een klein dorpje in het binnenland dus een huurauto is een must maar door de centrale ligging zijn de meeste bezienswaardigheden vlot bereikbaar.

Beautiful property in a quiet little town, staff were super friendly and helpful, the bedroom was gorgeous and very spacious, pool was lovely - all in all we had a great stay!

Es ist ein Juwel mitten im Nirgendwo. Wunderschön mit Liebe zum Detail! Das Frühstück ist toll - der beste Joghurt den ich in meinem Leben je gegessen habe!
Wir haben zum Geburtstag meines Mannes ein Zimer-Upgrade und eine Flasche Sekt bekommen. Das Essen ist auch hervorragend!

L'ensemble est superbe et donne déjà l'envie d'y revenir.
Le concept des maisons rénovées est très appréciable : intimité, ambiance authentique et apaisante, variété des logements proposés.
Une belle restauration, faite avec beaucoup de soin, des matériaux nobles et de qualité. Également une très belle décoration.
Petit déjeuner magnifique, présenté avec beaucoup de soin ; des produits frais et faits maison.
Gentillesse du personnel et la petite attention offerte lors du départ permet de prolonger les beaux souvenirs passés dans cet hôtel.

Superbe appartement (18). Au déjeuner on se croirait dans un ryad de luxe. Le déjeuner est excellent. Situation au calme. Idéal pour visiter la région.

We absolutely loved our stay at St-Ten Stone Built Village. This beautiful, luxurious property has been sympathetically restored with stunning stonework and wood features, creating a charming and authentic atmosphere. It truly feels like a private village within a village — peaceful, secluded, and far removed from the usual tourist spots, yet conveniently close to places like Matala Beach.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived — nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was wonderful, and the on-site restaurant was a real highlight. Mama’s cooking is simply outstanding, with delicious, authentic home-cooked Greek dishes served in a warm and inviting setting.

Our apartment was large, beautifully furnished, and spotlessly clean, with excellent air conditioning, a fantastic shower, and a spacious terrace overlooking the village church and surrounding countryside and hills. The pool area was lovely too, with comfy sun loungers and a relaxing atmosphere. There’s even a private gated car park just off Agia Deka Main Street, which made arriving and exploring very easy.

Although there’s no sea view, the peaceful countryside setting more than makes up for it. The combination of stunning stonework and natural wood creates a space that feels both rustic and modern — a perfect blend of comfort and tradition. This place is a true hidden gem. Less than an hour from the airport, easy to find, and perfect for anyone looking to experience authentic Cretan hospitality.

We took lots of photographs during our stay, and we’ve come away truly inspired to incorporate some of the same design ideas into our own home renovation — the attention to detail here is that impressive.

This is, without doubt, the best hotel we have ever stayed in. We usually never return to the same area or hotel, but St-Ten has completely changed that — we’re already planning our next visit.

Excellent breakfast. Very kind and helpfull staff. Great and elegant building and decor. Peaceful and silent room.

Everything: the food, the pool and the atmosphere

Stunningly designed, looks and feels historic yet packed with modern, top-quality fixtures and furnishings. Rooms are spacious with a separate lounge and mini kitchen and individual patio areas in front of pool which feel private and secluded with sun beds, table and chairs. Breakfasts are a treat and the taverna next door is wonderful.

Sehr schöne Gebäude, Zimmer mit top Ausstattung. Sehr gutes Frühstück, sehr freundliches Personal. Ein Familienbetrieb. Man kann dort auch zu Abend essen. Die Mama kocht. Da wir viel unterwegs waren, haben wir diese Möglichkeit nicht genutzt. Es wichtig zu wissen, daß man zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten und Stränden mindestens 20 min mit dem PKW fahren muss. Die Unterkunft liegt daher sehr zentral, wenn man sich die Gegend ansehen möchte. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Einfach nur Wow! Super Service, ein Familienbetrieb mit nur freundlichem Personal, inkl. der Reinigung. Hier stimmt das Gesamtkonzept, der Kunde steht vollkommen im Vordergrund und man macht alles für die Zufriedenheit.
Das Frühstück war lecker, man hat reichlich von allem da, bitte kein Buffet wie in grossen Hotels erwarten, es wird hier auf die Herkunft aus der Region und Qualität Wert gelegt. Auf Wunsch kocht die Mama das Abendessen, wie es hier auf Kreta üblich ist.
So ein sauberes Hotel haben wir noch nie gesehen, wir achten uns sehr darauf und konnten keine dreckigen Winkel entdecken.
Das Pool wird jeden Abend gereinigt!
Das Dorf ist ruhig und typisch, man hat hier jedoch eine Idylle geschaffen, was man nicht erwartet, wenn man in das Dorf reinfährt.
Automiete (wie auf Kreta üblich) ist ein muss.
