Lovely hotel, lovely staff
Pros:

Extremely satisfied with the stay. Location is great, breakfast is good, rooms are clean.
All the staff that I have interacted with have been friendly and great, with a special acknowledgement for Sonia for being great to talk to and ask about cultural questions.
If I ever return to Guangzhou, I would gladly stay here again

Cons:

The only minor issue I had was that the sink cap in the room's bathroom could easily get stuck, hovewer this would be promptly fixed by the room cleaners

Staff was friendly

Cons:

Staff was friendly and that was the only positive part. Everything else was disappointing. The rooms are old, the wall paint is damaged from moisture, and there is a construction site working 24/7. They use perforators, so you can imagine how loud it gets. It was a disaster. But again, the staff was good.
