Tribe Bungalows, Bwejuu, Zanzibar

Weronika and Kuba (and the mascot Diyon :) ) were amazing ! They were nice and fun and share lots of good plans. We recommend a lot :)

Wonderful place, quiet, very clean, safety

The breakfast was excellent - fresh fruit followed by a plated meal from a menu. (No sad looking precooked items being kept warm for hours.) The location was away from the touristy stuff in Paje, but beach etc just a short walk away or a very short journey in a Tuk Tuk. Evening meals prepared by an excellent chef available through the always open bar bar. The small pool was well maintained and safe for children. Very friendly and competent staff with proprietors always available on site.

Beautiful couple inside/out was so attentive to our needs. Even went out of the way to bring us ice cream. The food was excellent as this place is special. It felt like home!

It's a small place with warm feelings to relax and enjoy the company of the staff and the owners.

Na śniadanie można było wybrać kilka możliwości co pozwoliło każdego dnia odkrywać nowe dania – za każdym razem jedzenie było świeże, pyszne i dobrze podane. Sam obiekt jest estetyczny, bezpieczny i co najważniejsze ma basen!

I genuinely loved everything about our stay. Weronica and Kubo, the owners, went above and beyond, truly exceptional hosts who made us feel instantly welcome. Anna at the bar was equally outstanding, and the chef’s creations were simply unforgettable. Every member of the team was incredibly kind, attentive, and accommodating.

The atmosphere was wonderful, we’ll absolutely be returning and won’t hesitate to recommend this gem to others. It’s rare to find a place that feels this genuine and well-curated.

I was made so welcome by weronika and kuba - a really lovely polish couple and their gorgeous dog. They have 2 sweet cats too but like all cats ignore you ! The rooms are spacious and spotless wirh really good showers and comfortable bed. The bar and pool area is a very easy place to relax around with lovely staff Quasim, Anna, Lillian and Kevin - also sweet night porter. Food is excellent and you can have it if you like or easily head into paje or any of the other restaurants very nearby. It is like an oasis of peace. The beach is a 10 minute walk but it is very nice to wander to it through the community- a football pitch and some schools and generally get a feel for the people here. It is sometimes not possible to do that when you stay in a resort at a beach. You don’t get the full experience of where you are staying. Easy to get Tuk Tuk or walk into paje. Also to experience local dala dala - so easy and also an adventure. You can go by dala dala to blue lagoon and jozani forest and basically anywhere you need to - paje is the centre point - walkable in 20 mins - and am interesting walk where you will meet extremely friendly local people and Masai population tribe bungalows offer a really nice place to come back to after being out exploring Had great movie night by the pool wirh drinks and gorgeous bbq served while looking at a light comedy.

We have stayed three days and everything has been excellent! Weronica, Kuba and the rest of the staff are the best host you can expect: always willing to help, support and advice you. They strive to recommend places to visit, places to eat or enjoy the island. The breakfast is amazing and delicious, with different options to choose every day. The room and common spaces are clean and lovely!

Thank you for the wonderful hospitality! This place looks even better in person than in the pictures. The staff is incredibly friendly and approachable—they recommended some amazing trips around the island and great restaurants. Their bar area is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed staying at Tribe Bungalows. The bungalows are nice and comfortable, and there’s plenty of space outside to relax, whether by the pool or at the bar. The hosts are very helpful and always checked in to see if I needed anything, as did the rest of the staff. I would definitely recommend it and hope to get a chance to come back!
