I could not stay there with my kids because the place is full of junkies. Drug addicts and sex trafficking and booking.com kept my $569. Even though it was full of junkies.

The lack of communication 😒 with us . They left us (me & my husband) stranded with no where to stay in a foreign city in Florida.

Nothing to complain about enjoyed the stay

The dirtiest place I’ve ever stayed at. If you’re not Black, better not go — they’ll rob you of $100, huskies will jump on you, and every time you try to use the bathroom, someone will knock on the door or just walk in while you’re inside. A complete ghetto and misery — for this money, there are much more budget-friendly places.

Where to even start? If you’re uncomfortable in unsavory neighborhoods, don’t stay here. If cleanliness is top priority to you, don’t stay here. If you’re a single female traveling alone, definitely don’t stay here. I was really excited to stay here when I saw the pictures. I don’t want to completely throw the young man who owns this property under the bus. He has a great concept, but still. The lack of cleanliness in this house is atrocious. There was dog feces left in the common area for hours. There’s a reason there are no photos of the bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen can’t be used because it’s crawling with roaches, they’re even in the microwave and sink. Part of the kitchen is full of junk and clutter, like an old garage. The living area pictured on the site that’s supposed to look so cool is heavily cluttered as well. My bedroom was very dirty, the walls were covered in dirt, scuffs and knicks. The black couch was covered in white dog hair. One day while sitting on the bed a flying cockroach decided to try and make friends with my leg. Other guests don’t clean up behind themselves and leave the bathroom coated in wet hair. Plus certain exposed areas in the bathroom are just unsightly. Now on to the neighborhood. I notice that in other comments the host brushes off claims of feeling uncomfortable as racism. Even when I expressed concern to him over the group of men hanging out in front of the house, he got defensive and said I shouldn’t see them as scary because we’re all black people. That has nothing to do with anything though. As a black person who grew up in a lower income neighborhood myself, I was EXTREMELY uncomfortable in this neighborhood. If he is going to host travelers, he needs to do a better job at keeping the riff raff away from here. Beloved, not wanting to be around certain behavior is NOT racist. It’s self preservation!!!Every time I left to catch the bus there was a creepy, deranged looking man, a different one every day at that!

Somewhat noisy area, both exterior and interior was a bit messy as well. Bedroom itself was not very spacious, both in regards to flooring and furniture present. Bathroom was slightly worse, it looked like it wasn't cleaned thoroughly as both mold/insects were noted especially in shower area. At the time of the stay, the host owned some dogs and puppies recently born. They were noted to be outdoors multiple times in somewhat tight spacing/cages although it was shaded. I did ask at one point if the dogs were allowed to be out of the cages or indoors, and I didn't get a straightforward answer. As an animal owner myself, I felt slightly uncomfortable seeing their conditions.
