Sheer Bliss
Pros:

The warmest welcome greeted me from the staff, even though it was later than expected. I kept them updated with my delays and they always responded kindly.
The room was amazing , very well kept , comfortable bed and pillow, clean sheets and a lovely warm duvet . The next morning I awoke to a panoramic view of nature .
The food is sooo good and very reasonable prices I hadn't found anywhere else.
I was helped with my ongoing journey to Darjeeling and the young man in the restraunt even stood with me to wait for auto cab share .
I was so comfortable I was tempted to stay but I want d to see Darjeeling but I re booked for on my way back to the airport.
It is about 40 mins from the airport but for me it was perfect harmony away from the city , a nice adjustment to my ongoing journey.
You can even catch a photo of the toy train as it passes by .
I highly recommend Roots and I will definitely be staying there again .

Absolutely Fantastic!
Pros:

Located ideally beside the tea gardens and very close to the hills. Also has a great market and eateries at a 5 minute walking distance.

Beautiful homestay aat a lovely location
Pros:

We loved the hospitality and the cleanliness of the stay. The location is very beautiful near the tea state.

Cons:

I wouldn't say we didn't like it but we would appreciate the early opening of the restaurant or cafe as 9 am is late to get the first cup of tea/ coffee in case someone wants to leave early as everything close by also opens late around 9/10 am.

Pros:

The location , the staff and the restaurant. The staff both at the kitchen and at room service and the proprietor are very hospitable , friendly, helpful and great.
The restaurant kitchen is very flexible adapting to your needs.

The room is small and felt cluttered. But Quite comfortable. The view of tea garden at the back and the railway track in the front are quaint and peaceful.

The collection of old black and white photographs from the past displayed along the staircase are amazing.
A lovely little homestay property

A homestay that stands out due to its great location, spotlessly clean rooms and wonderful host.
Pros:

1.Absolutely great location (tea gardens at the back and Hill Cart Road and toy train track in the front)
2. Spotlessly clean rooms, bathrooms, towels and linen. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious
3. Very safe (I was accompanied by my aged parents and my son)
4. Host and his family and staff are wonderful people, very cooperative, prompt to cater to the guests' needs and they tried their best to make our stay comfortable.
5. Being a homestay there were certain limitations in the menu but they did their best to accommodate our requirements and the food was fresh , hygienic and tasty.
6. The common areas were clean too with comfortable sofas, lots of potted plants. We spent a lot of time there.

Would like to thank everyone at Roots for a memorable and enjoyable stay and would love to visit again.
