Novotel was great, and the view of the Nile from the room was beautiful.
Pros:

The reception staff and every other staff we encountered were professional, polite, and very pleasant. The rooms were clean, we had a great view of the Nile, and the breakfast was wonderful. It's a great hotel, we highly recommend it!

Cons:

There was nothing we didn't like about the hotel. Before we stayed at Novotel, we stayed in an apartment rental in another area, and we had no problems with Uber drivers and they were all nice and honest. As soon as we started booking Uber rides from and to Novotel, the Uber drivers started to ask us to pay in cash, or tip in cash, and the way it was done was very unpleasant. One driver pulled over on the side of the road and took my husband's phone from his hand to see how much Uber charged us for the ride, and said that we should have paid more so we owe him cash. Advice to travelers: maybe better to set the pick-up location elsewhere and not the hotel itself.

Hotel cómodo y bien ubicado
Pros:

La habitación era muy cómoda y de buen tamaño, además todo estaba muy limpio. La ubicación era central y de fácil acceso. Si vuelvo al Cairo volvería a hospedarme en este hotel.

Wouldn’t have booked it if I’d realised there wasn’t a bar!

The hotel was in an excellent location and the breakfasts were very good.

Cons:

There were no alcoholic beverages available. Other hotels nearby did have bars so you needed to walk or get a taxi. The pool area was small and there were limited bed chairs available.
