Double A Nungwi Beach Hotel

After reading some mixed reviews we were very curious to see what the hotel had to offer but overall it was a very pleasant experience.

Location is good, on the beach but with the sunchairs being one level up keeping the beach vendors away. This said, we never found any of them being annoying at any time. A polite no or head shake will often suffice. The last piece of the road to the gate is quite rough and can get very wet when raining. I hope they will manage to asphalt it in the future.

The rooms we had was of good size and in a generally good condition. However, the bathroom could need some love and care. Especially since it was not the cheapest of the alternatives we looked at (and far from the most expensive either).

Food was a pleasant surprise, it is clear that the kitchen works hard and puts their pride in their lunch and dinner. Normally we never eat in the hotel but this time we actually had most of our meals here. Breakfast was what you would expect from this part of the world and a big plus for a panncake and omelette station.

The real highlight however is the staff. What a joy to be around them. To 99% they are friendly, hard working and with good intentions and with these traits, you see through the fingers when there are minor hickups. A few small polite words in Swahili will get you far! Management has good intentions to run this place well. A special shout out to Anna and Erick in the restaurant with whom we got an extra good relationship with during the week.

It may not be perfect, but if we wanted perfect, we would have gone do Dubai or somewhere else. Double A has a special charm and it felt like we were truly in Zanzibari paradise.

Would we come back? Yes!

Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Mwangaza!
Breakfast was tasty and varied. They will make you every omelette you like.

The staff was excellent and were very hospitalble.
They are very polite and will make your stay very comfortable. Anything you ask that is responsible they will accommodate.

Perfekte Lage direkt am Strand.
Anlage sehr sauber und sehr gepflegt.
Frühstück lecker und Essen, egal ob Mittags oder Abends auch super.
Pool wurde wohl renoviert......es gibt online Bilder wo er nicht so schön aussieht.

Потрясающий вид, самый лучший пляж на нунгви (и кулуарно и недалеко до всех кафе на набережной), лодки напротив отеля не стоят, можно спокойно купаться, свет был (включался генератор) и интернет тоже. Персонал очень приветливый

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, die Küche gut, aber zu teuer.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is right on the beach and a wonderful location. The breakfast was good with a variety of food to choose from. The room was clean, robes and slippers were provided which was a pleasant surprise.

Posizione ottima sulla bellissima spiaggia di Nungwi vicino a ristorantini e mercatini. Struttura accogliente e pulita, letto comodo e camera spaziosa dotata di tutto l'occorrente. Colazione vista mare fantastica. Personale sorridente e socievole

Near the beach and staff are so professional

The location is amazing. You are right on the beach. Has a beautiful restaurant overlooking the beach. Food is very good. Breakfast was good.

El hotel está muy bien respecto a limpieza y servicios. El desayuno buffet muy bueno y el personal es muy hospitalario, están siempre pendientes del huésped. La barbacoa de los domingo noche muy rica.

Great location right on the beach. the people that work there are incredibly kind, knowledgeable and professional. They were very attentive and super nice. Especially the ladies at the front desk, so welcoming and wonderful. The rooms are very clean, modern and you feel relaxed the minute you get there - your worries melt away.
