Essen und Getränke beim all inclusive eher durchschnittlich.
Very good family oriented resort. Calm water on the beach, nice pools if you are so inclined. Main restaurant has both buffet service and menu service with a variety of cuisines. La Trattoria has good Italian food options but reservations are required. Rooms were bright, airy, clean and well maintained. Very pleasant place for a family vacation.
Royal Cancun
We had a wonderful overall experience in Cancun, and the service throughout the resort was generally amazing. The staff were friendly, attentive, and clearly put a lot of effort into making guests feel welcome.
That said, there are a few areas where we feel the resort could improve.
My parents have been timeshare owners for more than 20 years, so we were disappointed that there wasn’t an opportunity to upgrade to a room with two bathrooms. After that many years of ownership and loyalty, we would have expected some additional perks or consideration, especially when traveling with family.
We also had a frustrating experience with a couple of the bartenders at the pool bar. On multiple occasions, I was standing there before other guests, yet people who arrived after me were served first. This happened more than once, which made it feel like I was being overlooked. The rest of the service was excellent, so hopefully this was an isolated issue.
Another area that could really use improvement is signage throughout the resort. It can be difficult to figure out where you’re going, and adding more directional signs would make a big difference. Even something as simple as painting room numbers and directional arrows on some of the walls would be extremely helpful.
Additionally, the atmosphere around certain parts of the pool area felt a bit quiet at times. There was a noticeable lack of music in some sections, which made those areas feel less lively compared to others. Adding more speakers and ensuring consistent music throughout the pool areas and resort would greatly enhance the overall vacation vibe.
Finally, after being timeshare owners for so many years, we have to question whether the overall cost and commitment of ownership provides enough value compared with simply booking a vacation when you want to travel. Timeshare ownership should come with significantly more benefits, perks, upgrades, or recognition for long-term owners. After 20+ years, we would hope to feel that loyalty is rewarded in a more meaningful way.
Overall, we enjoyed our Cancun vacation and appreciate the wonderful service we received from most of the staff. With some improvements to the pool bar service, signage, music and atmosphere, and especially the benefits offered to long-term timeshare owners, the experience could be even better.
very nice hotel, family atmosphere, spacious apartment, cleanliness, nice garden and beach resort, tennis courts, towels supply, enough sunbeds on the beach and pools, gorgeous seaview, quiet beach, safe location close to boat departures. Great to share the Royal Sands as well.
Friendly staff, beautiful grounds, very clean, good food & cocktails. Was pleasantly surprised to not see any critters or insects!
this resort is very nice for large families but if you are looking for things to do after 5 there is nothing to do we had to leave the resort because there was nothing to do but if you wanna just chill and don't want to do any activities then this resort is perfect very clean staff is great food was 3 options but was so good pool was clean never crowded we had a great time i wouldn't stay again because my kids was bored just at the resort itself
If you are looking for a relaxing, calm vacation this is the spot.
Friendly staff.
All the rooms have two bedrooms, when I thought I booked a one-bedroom, I was surprised when I saw I had two bedrooms.
Because this is a members’ hotel. And even though you booked an all-inclusive, it actually only covers about 90 percent of everything. There are items that you do have to pay a little extra for. For example if you want steak they have house steak which is free but if you want one rib-eye steak it will cost you approximately 30 dollars extra to get the rib-eye. Again most things are included; it’s just certain items that will require an extra fee. Also because of it being a members’ hotel every time you eat, anywhere in the property, you have to wait for a bill after that you have to sign, which becomes annoying. It’s not like you could just go into the hall grab a burger and keep walking, NO you have to give them your physical room key, give them your room number, order, eat it and then wait for a bill that you have to sign and if you want to tip you leave it on the bill which gets charge to the room when you leave the property. Again just annoying and I wish they found a better system because the property is a good place to stay for a relaxing calm vacation.
Great location, Amazing Resort. We had amazing time for 8 days, everything went very well, the rooms very clean the bed very comfortable.
We will be back to Royal.
The staff at the Royal Cancun is exceptional!!! We are especially grateful for the kindness and service we have experienced for many years from Reynaldo and Jeremias!!! They always greet us like family!!!
We stayed here to celebrate my son & his best friends's graduation from high school. Both will be leaving for college soon. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this resort! It was clean and well appointed! The Palapa is an enjoyable outdoor restaurant right on the beach. La Trattoria serves delicious Italian food with a poolside view. The Royal Market had everything we needed to cook breakfast in the mornings and snacks & beers for sitting poolside. We visited the sister resort, The Royal Sands, using the free shuttle and had a great time there too! Lounge chairs under straw palapas right on the beach are readily available at both resorts. The location is just a 5 minute walk to the ferry building that will take you to Isla Mujeres. Ubers are easy to get and take you on your excursions or restaurants/stores outside the resort. They pick up on the sidewalk of the resort but will return you to the lobby area. I liked that the main bedroom with bath was upstairs for added privacy and there was a 2nd bedroom with twin beds downstairs & a Murphy bed in the living room. So everyone in our group slept comfortably in their own beds. We would definitely stay again and would highly recommend it to anyone interested.
Location was ok, have to take taxi to shopping and nightlife but luckily not too expensive. Beach was well maintained, as was the entire resort. Rooms were nice but mattresses and pillows were extremely lacking! Very uncomfortable and made a good night’s rest impossible.
All-inclusive cost is only worth it if you drink a bunch of alcohol and hit the buffets. La Trattoria was not good at all, La Palapa was hit or miss. If this resort had been closer to local Taquerias and other eateries, we most likely would not have done all-inclusive. Taking the shuttle to the sister resort definitely helped the availability of food and I would have spent more time there if I could have.
Staff was amazing and definitely the highlight of the trip, other than the beach and pool bar (which could have stayed open longer for adults).
Food and Service was excellent. Buildings may be a little dated and beach is not the greatest but the food was top notch and bar service was excellent.
Not many vegetarian friendly options. Bugs in the room, take precautions. Kids club does not have English friendly options. Room service is delayed. The spa does not have sauna and steam.
Excelente todo súper recomendado
Todo fue excelente
Las habitaciones super cómodas. El restaurante a la carta muy bien. Los snacks en la piscina buenos.
La chica que nos atendió en la recepción mal.
