Pros:

Quiet and isolated place right off beach, bugs weren’t a problem like I thought there’d be and staff is very helpful

Pros:

The best place for lovers of nature and solitude. A wonderful remote setting between forest and the sea. Quiet except for the ocean. Wooden houses, good views, can walk a stretch of 5km beach without meeting anybody. Good swimming, other activities are on offer. Easy to reach with a final motorbike ride along the beach. Helpful staff. Colombian food 3x / day available; not fancy but pretty good. Cash was required and invoicing is difficult, in case you need that. Filtered water would be great instead of small plastic bottles. Speaking some Spanish helps. Altogether: a unique experience. Highly recommended!

Tortuga Bay Hotel, un immense plaisir
Pros:

Un site isolé qui nous a baigné dans la nature sauvage de El Choco.
Le gérant, les personnes en cuisine et l’ensemble du personnel sont adorables. Il ne faut pas hésiter à leur poser des questions sur les activités ou faire part d’attentes culinaires.
Proche de Mama Orbe qui oeuvre à préserver les tortues et les libère en mer (activité disponible, payante).
L’hotel est situé face à l’océan, un cadre magique mais qui nous a aussi fait réalisé l’immensité du désastre du plastique…
Un souvenir mémorable en famille avec 3 enfants de moins de 10 ans.
Depuis aéroport de Bahia Solano, une voiture jusque El Valle puis via motos jusque l’hotel (seule option)
