Retro vibe with great view!
Pros:

The restaurant and location on the water is very nice. Looking out on the water with sandy area to sit and enjoy the view. The staff and owner were very helpful. The food was good and reasonably priced. It had the feeling of being set in the 60's-70's with I'm sure many repeat visitors. It isn't a resort, but a nice place to spend a few days in Placencia

Cons:

The rooms are small and dark. But no need to stay in the room when you can hang out in the cafe and sandy area at any time day or night.

Glad we stayed!
Pros:

We spent a night before our catamaran trip and a week later a night after. Both times were good.
Owner and staff are very helpful, everything was very clean and although the location is not on a swimming beach it is a pleasant place to hang out and watch the water traffic.

Cons:

Rooms were small and dark, but downstairs is open to sit and relax.

I had a personal reason for staying at a hotel associated with the name Alan but this was truly a touch of paradise.
Pros:

Location, near to town yet very secluded and quiet. Right on the beach. Free use of bikes and kayaks; big plus! Great staff.

Cons:

Nothing stood out as a dislike at all.

Cons:

Manque d'entretien de l'hôtel et aucune information a notre arrivée. On ne savait même pas qu'on pouvait faire nettoyer le linge à l'hôtel alors que nous avons du chercher une blanchisserie. Le petit déjeuner commence a 7h mais vous n'êtes pas servi avant 7h30/ 7h45.
Au lieu de ramasser les sargasses de la plage, ils remettent tout à la mer : moins de travail !

Great location to relax.
Pros:

Great location, nothing fancy but everything works, comfortable bed and helpful staff. Quiet nights. Everything as promised and quick to respond to special requests.

Pros:

great waterfront location close to everything. Kayaks were in great condition I was able to explore all over with them and the restaurant was soo tasty

Pros:

Great location, far enough out of town to be peaceful but close enough to walk into the town.
Alan has kayaks and bike's that are free to lend
We found them a great bonus and used both.
Friendly staff.
Very quite at night
