Sea Star Budva exceeded all our expectations. The location is fantastic, right on the seaside, and the views are absolutely stunning. The hotel is stylish, clean, and very comfortable, and the spa added an extra touch of relaxation that made the stay even more enjoyable. A special mention goes to the staff, who were outstanding, always smiling, always helpful, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. Their warmth and professionalism made the experience feel even more special. Everything from the room to the breakfast to the overall service was top class.

Время работы бассейна и сауны просто смешное, кому оно вообще надо, пока солнце светит? Плохо убирают номера, нам ни разу не поменяли постельное белье за неделю, пол был грязный и остался грязным даже после замечания, душевую кабину тоже мыли ужасно. Отельная еда просто отвратительная, если приедете ночью поесть не получится.

The waiting staff were generally lovely and extremely helpful in this hotel in particular Miljan and Vanja. Miljan spoke excellent English which was useful in getting the simplest of issues resolved such as the issue described below regarding decaf coffee. In my opinion he went above and beyond to make your breakfast and general experience the best it could be within his role. There was also an extremely helpful member of staff on reception, whose name I cant remember, blonde, wore glasses, lived in Budva and spoke excellent English so she was our go to person for travel advice etc.
The breakfast provided a wide variety of options to choose from. There were times when the 'hot' food such as omelet's and grilled vegetables were cold. My husband asked for a decaf coffee and we were told this was not available and he had to purchase it from the restaurant attached to the hotel; given this was described as a 5* this was a disgrace.
Towards the end of our holiday the air con in the bedroom started to play up and didn't work one night which in 27c was not helpful!!
Location of hotel was described as within a short distance to Budva town. This was a difficult 45/50 min walk along a busy main road in 36c heat so not great for a 70yr old! Alternatively there was a rickety mini bus that came when it arrived; you bought your tickets from the young men sat at the bus stop who changed the price at will so this had to be challenged. 4euros from the hotel to the last stop in Budva old town, which is well worth a visit if you like history.
I would not recommend getting a taxi from the airport; they tried to charge us 70 euros despite a board showing a price of 50euros. We were told our hotel was outside of Budva hence the increase. It was actually 10 mins distance in a car. The car we went in didn't look road worthy and a nail sticking out of the back of the drivers seat ripped my linen trousers. The driver kept asking for a tip as he had four children to feed etc. basically begging. He didn't get out of 3rd gear all the way to the hotel and despite some precarious bends he kept looking round at us sat in the back... who needs a ride on Oblivion when you have this experience!! I would highly recommend you prebook a taxi from Booking.com.
