Great stay in Coimbatore
Pros:

The hotel has overall a modern outlook though a bit compact or small for some. The room was almost spotless, the mattress and pillows comfort could much be improved, otherwise the room was large, clean, very quiet (double glasses window and carpet across the room and corridors). For the room, I could easily give a 9.5 if not because of the mattress that needs improvement.

The best feature is definitely the restaurant Chef, every food / dish was by far better than expected, only compared maybe to spanish Chefs in northern Spain. The gym was clean and new, machines were modern and functional. Personal staff in the restaurant and room service superb. Laundry also superb, better than expected.

Cons:

The hotel swimming pool was not impressive, though I did not use it. Cleaning of the room and corridor carpets could be improved. The hotel common areas are not very large and at peak breakfast and dinner times the place was full and the service personal clearly cannot cope with the demand. Otherwise, it is one of the best options out there and somehow a bit lower price than other 5 stars hotels in the area.

Location is so good. Everything is just near by whether it is market, medical stores, salon, malls etc.

Cons:

Washroom is small. Only one top shower was there so it will be difficult for infants to take a shower..for infants there should be hand shower as well.

I expected more warmth from an ITC Welcome Hotel

Good Breakfast. And staff very polite. Great Location.

Cons:

Not like the Welcome group of old. A bit cold. Both the staff at the reception and the decor. The warmth of a welcome group hotel is missing. But then times have changed. My request for a late check out was only partially met. The room was inadvertently booked for two. But they said that nothing could be done about it since it was booked via booking.com . Non veg counter at breakfast, well hidden. :)
