Stunning view and direct access to the lake from our room. I was travelling with my sister and two nieces 10 and 12 and we all had a wonderful stay. The choice of options for breakfast was amazing. We loved the old fashion decoration! We will come back for sure!
There are several great hotels in Killarney, but I was very surprised that the Lake Hotel was such a gem. It is just minutes from the town center (and I mean minutes, about 3 kilometers), but you feel absolutely and exquisitely remote. The view of the mountains and lake makes you feel like you are hours away from civilization. It is a perfect starting point for a tour of the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula. You have your choice of a fine-dining restaurant or the bistro for some great food and music. There is a choice of rooms and parlors to relax with tea or coffee. I cannot say enough about what a gem this hotel was. We will definitely be back. (Note: the photo I shared was taken from our room.)
The weather could have been better, but the hotel had little say in that.
Once in a lifetime hotel.
The Lake Hotel is one of the finest hotels we have ever had the pleasure to stay at while on vacation. Entering the property, driving down the long drive to the stunning view of the lake to the beautiful hotel, was truly spectacular. Walking into the hotel, you are met with a wonderful staff. The staff was courteous and assisted with any and all our needs. We were able to book dinner at the hotels restaurant. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. We had an absolutely stunning view of the lake. The restaurant was a one of a kind meal. The staff was welcoming and knowledge of the dinner menu.
We can not say enough about the Lake Hotel.
Nothing
Lovely location. Attentive service. Nice rooms with comfortable beds.
the view from the dining hall, hotel, was amazing. Not far from the town and from the park adventures. The beds were comfortable and the room was nice!
Honestly my biggest complaint was the lighting in the bathroom was terrible. I could hardly see myself in the mirror.
Incredible location and wonderful views. Staff were super helpful.
Bed was okay but not as good as other places I’ve stayed in
Absolutely gorgeous hotel and the views are Panaronic from every window, saw so many dears and even bats, staff were amazing went over and beyond to facilitate you nothing was to much trouble with them, the hotel itself is stunning can't recommend it enough it's a bit of paradise tucked away in woodland and stunning scenery,we have booked again for August and December can't wait,!!
Everything
Everything: The Lake Hotel is such a treat. Its location is unbeatable and the building makes the most of it; the restaurants all have a spectacular panorama and there are short walks to stroll in the grounds. The hotel is full of character and history, both of which are well-preserved. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The staff—all of them, cleaning staff especially—are very helpful and friendly.
Nothing.
Great location and surroundings. Very comfortable and wonderful staff
The restaurant was closed, so ate at the bistro. The bistro menu was a little limited, but the food was good.
Beautiful hotel, surroundings amazing. Food delicious. Staff all pleasant and helpful. Would love to return. Killarney is such a vibrant town.
Nothing
This was such a special hotel stay. The views were stunning and the location convenient just a 10 minutes drive from Killarney town. We were staying on our honeymoon and the hotel very kindly upgraded us to a four poster, lake view room. The breakfast was excellent and staff really helpful, friendly and conscientious. The lake thermal suite was a lovely, relaxing experience. The hotel is filled with character, but also clean and meticulously maintained, our room was very clean and a very comfortable bed.
It is hard to find anything to dislike. It was quite a long walk from our room to reception, this didn’t bother us but might not suit some. This is a more expensive hotel, it was a treat for us but we felt we received amazing quality for our money.
Attention to detail was excellent
Nothing
The property was very nice and spacious. It had a luxurious feel to it as well as the property outside being beautiful with a lot of nature that you could enjoy. There was also a castle ruin on the property which was fun for the kids to see. Any requests were promptly taken care of by the staff. We would definitely stay here again.
