The location was perfect.
80 meters from New Golden beach and about 12 minute walk to Golden beach.
The swimming pool was awesome!
And so was the view from the breakfast room.
It seriously lacks maintenance.
The shower handle was broken, it wouldn’t stay on the wall so I had to hold it with one hand at all times while trying to rinse my long hair with only one hand.
I complained twice but nothing was done.
The beds were not made. The bed sheets were just laid on top of the beds for the guests to make the beds themselves…
This is what you expect when you rent an apartment not when you stay at a hotel.
I complained and the bed was made on the next day but not on the following one…
I was not happy to have to make my own bed at a hotel.
The shower curtain smelled bad but I asked them to remove it, wash it and put it back and they did that so that was fine in the end.
Close to a desert beach but no facilities on the beach.
Frigobar very old and didn’t work (but was replaced). Room full of dusty. Breakfast very simple and they were very slow to restock missing items. Not many sun-beds around the swimming pool. No services around the hotel.
We loved our stay at Captain Rock's, and this is mostly due to the kindness of Christina.
Christina makes everything possible for everybody to have the best stay, she is always caring and helpful.
The hotel itself is well located, the outside with the pool and the restaurant are pleasant, breakfast in the morning is simple but good.
The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable.
The bathrooms need a bit of a refreshment
The pool was lovely. The staff were very kind and helpful.
The location was good for the beach but you needed to hire a car or moped to visit other locations on the island.
First of all , I you like to warmly congratulate Christina for her patience and dedication to welcome me and although suffering from the situation and bad state of the equipment of my room. She did her best to help and find solutions. I had an amazing view of 180 degrees on the sea (even not in a sea front position) and a charming room with the basic equipment !
The lack of maintenance and the desastrous condition of facilities. Airflow in the bathroom is so noisy and impossible to switch of that you have to choose between taking a shower in the dark or being in a hurry to finish and witch of the light to stop the noise ! The shower door fall down on the second day when I tried to open it ! The TV offer very few international channels but upon arrival my guest tried to find a French one during 30 mn and had to come back the next day ! Towels are out of age. Furniture is not fixed. The door of my room are so difficult to close that I came back twice after a couple of hours and found it open !
Service is good except the men in charge of fixing my shower door who was informed at 11am but was still quietly reading his newspaper when I came back at 6 pm, having just not fixed it !
Christina and her team were very nice and were always able to help me with any questions I had. Christina took a lot of time to give me recommendations for sightseeing. The hotel is beautifully situated and has a great view over the bay as far as Naxos. There is also a great pool where you can relax. The beach is only a five-minute walk from the hotel.
Unfortunately, the hotel is in need of a bit of renovation. However, this was not a problem with my room. The furnishings (furniture, towels etc.) also need to be renewed. However, I didn't notice this in a particularly negative way.
Christina and the rest of the staff we're absolutely lovely and done everything they could to ensure I got the most of of my time on the island. From surprise Crème Brulée to coming to pick me up when I was lost about a 30min walk from the hotel when it was getting dark and a lift to the bus stop on my way home. This small kind gestures helped me out a lot as I didn't rent a vehicle for my trip. They went above and beyond and for that this place will always have a little place in my heart when I think of Paros! My room was cute, traditional and the view was lovely. I would definitely return.
The only thing I would say is the lack of wifi connection. There is some connection near reception but it's not as accessible from the rooms. I didn't mind as much as I was only there for a few nights and quite enjoyed the much-needed break from doom scrolling. In all fairness, they haven't listed wifi in their facilities and when I asked them about it they said it's something they are working on.
The property was beautiful with a convenient pool and restaurant. the owners were beyond helpful, even driving us places close by when they had time!
The workers are severely overworked which makes the service quite slow. This as well as an outdated system makes for a lot of mix ups with orders or just completely forgetting it. The workers do the best they can but it it obvious that there aren’t enough staff to run the place to the best of its ability
Staff were always super helpful, friendly and kind with the guests. The room for family of 4 has a great space, the location is very good, walking distance from a beatiful beach. They provide free wifi, but do not garantee it will work perfectly (I had no issues connecting). For me, the experience of staying there was great! I could repeat!
They need some renovation, specially on bathrooms to better satisfy the guests. They could put some more parasols on the pool and have more options of food/drinks on the pools bar to sell more there. Breakfast could have more variety and be more charming.
Christina is the most lovely person you can imagine. She helps you with every question you ask, as does the rest of the staff. They are all really kind, super friendly and helpful.
Christina although she had a lot of work to do always took time to talk to us about our day or to advise us of what to do next in Paros. It was a really special experience to stay at the beautiful captains rocks. We felt at home. 🩵
Cristina and all her staff were outstanding, super friendly and helpful to organise your day by day to explore the most beautiful spots of the island.
The hotel itself is to dream for. Clean and very well maintained with this lovely Greek vibes which everyone has in their minds when thinking about Greek architecture. A super plus, 3min walk from a beautiful beach!
Thank you, thank you so much!
Definitely saved for next time!
Hotel offers stunning views, a charming white building, a comfortable bed, daily room cleaning, marvelous breakfasts, and a clean pool with a nice veranda. The air conditioning was a great relief, and the location was perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Katerina, who provided excellent recommendations, helped book a cruise, and organized transfers.
While the location was just a 5 minute walk from a the cleanest pristine beach, the steep hill made it difficult to walk up. The bar service was poor with long waits, limited drink options, and an early closing time of 20:30, and the lack of tea-making facilities (it was upsetting) and insistence on cash payments were inconvenient (but card was also accepted), although the overall ambiance of the hotel was pleasant.
The view is incredible and the staff helped as much as possible throughout our stay which was fantastic.
Wasn't the hotel's issue, but often no hot water or no water. There are problems with the supply from town. If there was anything to upgrade it would look at the mattresses and make breakfast earlier as if you have a tour or anything that's full day you sadly miss out. But nothing major at all just annoying. Also lots of lovely seating areas around the property but there is no restaurant to get food or drinks on site (ordering in takes a while also) and you aren't permitted to have outside food or drink outside your room, again, not a major issue but would have been nice to be able to snack around the pool with a cold drink rather than going back to the room.
I can only agree with the previous reviews, Christina is such a lovely, caring and warm-hearted person. Even though it was the start of the season, she and her team made me feel very welcomed and almost at home. The rooms are spacious and nicely designed, the pool is large and refreshing, the beds are comfy and the view is spectacular, especially for the sunrise above Naxos. Close by there is the new golden beach where you can chill, swim and try your luck at windsurfing and wingfoiling. The adjacent fields are home to an abundance of rabbits that are cute to watch during an afternoon stroll. Great place I definitely recommend.
Thanks for an amazing 3-days-stay.
That I couldn't stay longer.
the breakfast was ok. The staff were amazing and I loved the pool.
