design forward boutique vibe without the typical service compromises
Pros:

FRED is a design-led boutique hotel (similar vibe to The Standard in its earlier days), but without the typical service drop-off you sometimes get with design hotels.

Service: Fast and responsive for eg towels delivered within ~5 minutes of request.

Facilities: decent on-site offering, including a small gym which they don’t really advertise with free weights (all I needed) and also in-house laundry which was very reasonably priced.

Housekeeping: Very good, and you can request a room clean at any time of day.

Cons:

The Laundry doesn’t offer Dry Cleaning services. Very personal preference here but they use Grown Alchemist toilet toiletries, which although is premium was just not to my taste

Breakfast used to be excellent .it was good but they didn’t serve juice etc .standard should be maintained .

Loved the observatory and the plants inside - comfortable stay.
Pros:

Very homely and different from the other hotels . Attention to detail in every respect.

Cons:

Gets a bit jammed up at entrance ! Entrance for vehicle of Guest staying at the property and the restaurant visitors should be separated if possible.
