The location, the vibe and some of the staff
The initial room was smaller than expected and the bathroom did not have hot water. This was well compensated by a complimentary upgrade however.
The price is rather high compared to many comparable Panama locations, but this could be the location of Santa Catalina…

Really friendly staff, nice vibe, small pool that our 6 year old loved.
El lugar está en una buena ubicación de la playa para surfear.
Queda un poco lejos del muelle donde salen los tours principales
Proximité incroyable de la plage, plusieurs services disponibles sur place (laundry, location de planches de surf, restaurant, piscine) et proximité des toutes les autres facilités du village de Santa Catalina (maximum 20 minutes à pieds). Les vagues pour le surf de débutant à intermédiaire sont idéales et continues.
Pas d'eau chaude, plusieurs équipements désuets ou brisés, services du personnel manquent de constance. À mon avis, si un gestionnaire aguéri était sur place, ce serait plus structuré et avenant. Il faut toujours demander, on ne peut pas attendre, rien ne s'offre naturellement. Bref, le service à la clientèle se fait lorsqu'on demande, mais ce sentiment de toujours devoir demander rend l'expérience moins fluide.
No tienen control de los pedidos en la comida es la segunda vez que me hospedo.. Y me toca esperar más de una hora mi comida porque se les olvida.

Basic bed, geen temperatuur regeling douche, allemaal wat basic wat niet erg is maar wel voor deze prijs
De locatie is perfect, aan het strand, restaurantjes in de buurt, en iets verder wandelen of auto naar het echte 'centrum'. Dit strand is wel degelijk het mooiste en leukste om te vertoeven en te surfen of spelen in de golven. Lekker en goed restaurant bij het hotel. Klein zwembad maar leuke afkoeling.
De kamers vielen toch wel wat tegen qua comfort en het geheel heeft zeker een stevige opknapbeurt nodig. Voor deze prijs verwacht ik wel wat meer; geen frigo op de kamer, verouderde badkamer en geen enkele keer schoonmaak van de kamer. We verbleven er 4 nachten dus mocht wel eens. We hadden één nacht echt last van lawaai van feestje in nabijgelegen bar, maar andere nachten bleven wel rustig.

El baño horrible, ducha con cortina, toalla d pies muy poco fiable, había restos de los antiguos huéspedes sensación de suciedad.
Una pena porque el lugar tiene unas posibilidades excelentes.

Im 1. Zimmer funktionierte die Klimaanlage nicht, im 2. Zimmer funktionierte die Dusche nicht richtig, insgesamt kleine Zimmer.
I like the location with pretty close access to the beach. The room was on the lower level with easy access.
Parking was a little tight and the breakfast options were limited.

The location on the beach is great. The food was also very good as well as the views from the dining room and relaxation areas.
The staff sometimes acted "put off" by requests in the restaurant and bar. Also, our room was next to an open window in the hall with no screen or glass on it and bugs easily got into the room as well as a lizard we spent the night with. We were on the street side so pay a little more to be on the beach side and avoid barking dogs at night
