OK - it needs some maintenance and upgrading...
Pros:

Staff were friendly in the bar for breakfast...

Cons:

Window was damaged and couldn't close properly so there was a draught in the room. Also, the beds were not comfortable and there was a bad odour smell in the bathroom and bedroom (this experience was shared with another family member in another room, so not unique to ours).

Mostly friendliness and ambience of bar/ restaurant staff.There was zero contact with anyone in hotel . I felt room price was excessive for single occupancy .I was unable to access a promised discount booking . Com discounts

Great value hotel and bar / restaurant
Pros:

Great staff and service. Lovely location right on the waterfront. Rooms are good, clean and, on the date of the visit, good value for money. Plenty of hot water.
Good parking facilities.

Cons:

Not sure that the accommodation would be suitable for the frail or disabled as there are stairs involved. Restaurant though does have access.
It is about a kilometre walk from the village centre.
