It was quiet. The staff at the property were nice.
One of the showers did not work, it was quite dirty and dated, there were only three chairs around the pool. Management did not respond to questions as they were away and never did get back to me. It was the poorest value stay of our trip where almost everywhere had been great.
The grounds were lovely. The staff were very polite and friendly and the breakfast was lovely.
If I’m being honest the property was looking very tired inside, especially the bedrooms and bathrooms. One of our rooms had a leaky roof and the shower tray would fill up completely. Not much hot water. The lights went on and off when the shower was in use. And the key was stuck on the inside of the door so we couldn’t lock it. The other room had no leak but the again the bathroom had had better days. There was a plug socket with a plug in it in the actual shower area which didn’t look great.

We can highly recommend this place. It was better than a 5-star luxury hotel. The house is very private and in lovely and quiet surroundings - garden, pool view The house is especially beautiful, has style and is very clean.
The rooms are good size, with a private bathroom, air conditioning and terrace/balcony with garden furniture.
Nice pool and there were sunbeds and garden furniture of good quality.
The place, together with the Villa Manager really provides the opportunity for a relaxing holiday. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. At the same time, they are very discreet. They were aware that we had a fantastic good and relaxing stay.
We recommend you try their cooking. They make amazing and delicious local dishes. It was made from fresh ingredients and was very tasty and varied - the best food we had in Sri Lanka.
The communication has been very good right from the time we booked the house and during our stay.
If you are looking for a wonderful villa, set in a beautiful location, with facilities to hand, you are looking at the right place.
Add to that a charming local host ready to arrange travel, guide activities, and cook tasty Sri Lankan meals and you will have to look hard to find a better holiday destination.
Communication from the moment we booked was excellent, we had a beautiful holiday. Very highly recommended.
The owner tried to help
The location is terrible, nothing there for tourist, like food - You would need a tuk tuk to go anywhere, forget walking. The effort in the accommodation was the front garden and the dinning area - everything else had seen better days and was just weird. Broken lamps under tables in the room, a communal room with nothing in it, just random books on a tv cabinet with no tv. The doors scraped on the floor, safety tape around the steps. I really bad first impression that didn't get better. The owner tried to get us to pay up front, but we just cancelled the other days, but should have just cancelled them all. Then he posted on booking.com that we didn't show up. If I was to stay in Kandy again, I would stay in the centre and most likely in one of the big hotels.
We had a wonderful and very comfortable stay at this charming Villa in Kandy. Nestled in a quiet and peaceful area, it was the perfect retreat for all of us to relax and unwind.
The rooms were clean, spacious, and exceptionally comfortable, with clean bathrooms. We all felt right at home from the moment we arrived. What truly stood out was the warm Sri Lankan hospitality — the host was incredibly kind, helpful, and always welcomed us with a genuine smile, perfectly reflecting the gracious spirit of Sri Lanka

Really lovely place to stay with the best breakfast! Fantastic omlettes and delicious fruit platters.
The pool was brilliant for the children.
The manager was really attentive and caring which was lovely.
And the house is absolutely beautiful, with great room sizes, a beautiful outdoor eating area and a lovely large communal kitchen space.
Very highly recommended.

I paid and enjoyed the eco Tours and excursions service offered by the villa . Breakfast here was so good and remarks the traditional and continental essence

My boyfriend and I had *the* most wonderful time here. So relaxing! We booked 1 night and extended 2 more nights. Kings villa is a little haven, on a beautiful garden and pool view away from the bustle of the town. The food is excellent, the staff were so kind and helpful, the views are majestic and the rooms are ample sized and very clean. It's about 30 mins from Kandy - the staff can organize transport.
