Friendly staff who made our stay amazing .They had waited for us for check in until late in the night .We had requested to change bed sheet and linen they did it immediately.Breakfast is amazing with lots of fruits .It’s short walk away from Lake and City Center .Their pick and drop service from Kandy Bus station is amazing. We also did all our tours (Sigriya , Kandy City Tour and Nuwara Eliya Drop Tour ) at reasonable price from them with guy name Sanjaya ,he is an amazing driver and humble person .

Vito Pizza is a must try when staying at Kandy City View Hotel

The room was exactly as shown in the photos on the booking platform. The place was very clean, well maintained and comfortable. The family room also featured a balcony overlooking a peaceful village backyard view. Breakfast was excellent, offering a good selection of both Sri Lankan and Western options.

A notable highlight was the in-house Vito Pizza on the top floor, which serves delicious handmade pizzas and is a must-try during a stay in Kandy. Having this dining option within the same building added great convenience and value to the overall experience.

Property photos are Plesent but reality is worst

Cons:

The most unpleasant stay I’ve ever had.

We couldn’t sleep until the next morning because of the noise from their rooftop restaurant.
The balconies face neighboring properties, so there’s no privacy at all.

We’re vegetarians and had paid for breakfast, but they said they had nothing to give us. We ended up asking for at least some bread and coconut sambol since we’d paid LKR 20,000 for two rooms for one night with breakfast included.

What they gave us was old, over-toasted bread with overly salty coconut sambol that no one could eat. We were really disappointed and had to go into the city for breakfast instead.

There are no lights in front of the rooms, and at night it was genuinely scary. I couldn’t even find the keyhole to open the door.

Everything was dusty, and when we switched on the ceiling fan, dust went everywhere. The fan was also broken and extremely noisy. The AC wasn’t working either.

The staff were inexperienced and didn’t even try to provide the breakfast we had paid for.

This place is a disaster. Don’t get trapped by booking here.

Excellent location. View from room.
Pros:

Location was excellent walking distance to lake, tooth temple. mall etc. view from room of lake and tooth temple was excellent. Room was very clean. Room size is good for single double bed but we had booked for 4 people and 2 additional single bed meant less room to manouver but it was just 1 night so ok.

Cons:

walk up the hill to this place could be tiring for older folks. son left his earphones in room. the staff did not try to call us back.
