It worthy the price but be prepared.

The stuff wasn’t nice.

Double room and just one bath towel.
I had discount from Genius points ⭐️ about 15% (2$) but the host wanted me to pay the full price of the stay (10$). And even that they wanted to charge me for family room (16$), instead of Double (8$ with discount) that I had booked.

At the end they let us stay for 8$ the way it showed in our app but we had to wait 30 mins till we were able to check in.

Also we went back home at 10:00pm and the entry door was missing somehow. Then we realised that a garage door was the actual door so we lift it up so we could go inside (it wasn’t signed that this is the “door”).

+ Cold water in the shower.

Comfy and big rooms with great rooftop bar
Pros:

Big and comfy rooms, they let us choose between three rooms. Fan and aircon plus a living room area to chill. Great rooftop bar and restaurant with good vibes. Nice balcony with views to the mountains.

The location was great for visiting the Ambuluwawa tower - which was visible from the bedroom window
Pros:

The location was great for visiting the Ambuluwawa tower - a view of which I had from the bedroom window. The staff were all very charming and accommodating.

Cons:

The photos while accurate did not convey it's location in a bustling town, next to a builder's yard. Look on google street view. The hotel and restaurant mainly catered for working men. Also under the bed needed a good clean.

Pros:

Bit of a building site at the moment as they’re putting a new roof on but the guy was really nice and best kottu I’ve had in Sri Lanka! Massive room and decent bathroom. Had a much better time here and walking to the Ambuluwawa tower than the Adam’s peak stay…

A room with a view! Great place to stay in Gampola on a budget
Pros:

Pretty decent budget hotel. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, and can arrange a tuk tuk to Ambuluwawa Tower at a fair price. My room had a balcony, and the double bed was nice. The rooftop bar and restaurant is lovely, and the food pretty good too. Shower was cold, but fine. Nice vibes!

Cons:

Located around a construction area, which was a bit loud in the mornings. A few ants in the room, but not really a problem. Large gaps between the doors and floor, so mosquitos get in the room unfortunately, but a mosquito lamp is provided. Quite a lot of stairs up to the rooms.
