The Island
We found the resort too big and a little soulless, the main hotel has real issues with signage and availabilty of staff at reception where there was always a wait
The staff members specifically the concierge, butler, drivers and other folks were amazing. Kudos to Kidany, Valeria, Esteban y Luis. The staff at the hotel really go above and beyond.
The service at the restaurants was no so great.
The hotel is magnificent, I grew up in Puerto Rico and used to spend time there so it is nice to see how much it changed over the years especially after the hurricane. The staff is marvelous and very helpful. The food was great and the pools were quite fun. Would definetly recommend it! Palomino island is amazing and the waterpark was fun too! We even took our stroller to it!
We are a family with two babies, so we use a stroller, yet they put us in a room where we had to go up and down stairs to get in, which in the rain was quite dangerous, let alone bringing the stroller up and down them was very inconvenient, so the next day I asked to change the room. They gave me a new one, but it was more dated (I know some rooms were renovated after the hurricane, and some weren't, so I guess my first room was one of the ones that was, which was very nice, but the second one felt a bit dated). To get to the hotel you have to wait for a golf cart or van to come take you as you're a bit far but we walked it once and it was a nice walk. We would've liked to have food service at the pool but that wasn't an option but there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. There is no more casino.
