Dali Taoxi Secret Manor

This manor is a wonderful retreat featuring unique and beautifully designed villas. The property was distinctly Chinese in style and quite attractive. The villa I stayed in was well appointed, with a spacious bathroom and heated floors. It also offered a very private, generously sized outdoor yard with a hot tub, as well as a traditional Chinese wooden gazebo, perfect for sipping tea and relaxing.

The restaurant was excellent, and Kadi, the general manager, provided truly exceptional service. He was an absolute pleasure. The staff overall was professional, attentive, and responsive to every need. The location is also very convenient for visiting all the major sites.

I highly recommend this property when visiting Dali.

Absolutely love this property! The property is very serene. I feel peaceful immediately the moment I walk inside. The staff is very friendly and helpful (a big shoutout to Terry)! And the location of this property is very convenient. It's within walking distance to many tourist attractions. Overall, highly recommend!

Manager Kadi took care of us very well, especially looking after our special request for halal food. On our day of departure he was even kind enough to drop us off at a halal restaurant for lunch on the way to the train station in his personal vehicle. The room was very spacious and all the staff were very kind and helpful. The Thai spa is a must try!

The first visual impression of Secret Manor was a very positive one- classic ancient Chinese architecture. We are greeted by friendly staff who took care of our luggages and sat us down. Refreshments were served while the staff worked on the check-in.

After which, the staff brought us to our room and explained the details on switches and other amenities. They also provide a “live-concierge” via WeChat where we can seek assistance from the staff. We had a spacious room that was clean with comfortable bed.

The selection of food at breakfast was a good spread. The dish that stood out was definitely the noodles station (mi xian soup) which is also a very popular local breakfast fare.

Special thanks to Kadi (the hotel manager) for all the tips he provided and his engagements. Overall, a very pleasant stay!
