In Grikos with short walk to beach, fantastic views from rooms.

Golden Sun Sanctuary
Pros:

This was a beautiful little slice of heaven, and the quaint picturesque hotel was right out of a painting 🖼

Cons:

Little far from town, and we rode bikes up and down hills. It was great anyway. We should have rented a car.

Excellent hotel situated in idyllic environment.
Pros:

Our criteria for this holiday was to find somewhere quiet,stress free and far from over visited tourist haunts.Patmos and The Golden Sun Hotel seemed to be a good combination and I am pleased to say that both met and indeed exceeded our expectations.
The Hotel is beautifully situated overlooking the village of Grikos.It is traditional Greek in style which ,for us,helped create a wonderful laid back atmosphere.A modern pool overlooks the bay and slots perfectly into the landscape.Complementing all this were very friendly and helpful staff.The breakfast was excellent providing a wide range of foods.Our room was thoroughly cleaned each day.All these elements combined to create a perfect stay.
Given the elevated location of the hotel there are some steps and a narrow path to the beach-not a major problem.Grikos is about 4-5km from the port and main activity centre of Skala.It should be noted that there is a bus stop directly outside the hotel providing a regular and very dependable service to Scala and Hora.The last service leaves at 7.30 pm .Taxis are readily available should you wish to leave later.There are five excellent tavernas in and around the boy of Grikos.
An excellent rejuvenating holiday.

Pros:

Lovely quaint hotel with great views from.our balcony. Rooms were spacious and clean. Lovely pool area and gardens. Staff were amazing. Lovely buffet breakfast.

Cons:

Too many steps to the beach and insufficient lighting at night walking down to the taverna.

Un bel soggiorno
Pros:

La struttura si trova sotto la strada per Hora ed ha le camere con il balcone affacciato sulla bella baia di Gricos. Una veduta stupenda, specialmente al mattino, quando il sole entra nella stanza.
La camera era ampia, bella, pulita. Ampio il bagno. Colazione a buffet, varia e abbondante.
Personale gentilissimo e disponibile.
Per migliorare l'aspetto della struttura basterebbe colorare di bianco porte e finestre, ma comunque va bene anche così.

Lovely views of Grikos Bay from the room ( we had a sea view balcony ).
Lovely new pool area, good sunbeds and not crowded.
Friendly receptionist.

Cons:

The provision of breakfast is a bit chaotic sometimes. Food is just about OK, but remember that the hotel is not expensive.
Clearance of tables not great, and sometimes food and drink items ran out for a while, as did provision of cutlery.
This just lets things down a bit in what is basically a nice three star greek hotel.
