Absolutely amazing
Pros:

I loved everything about this hotel! The check in was easy and the staff are very helpful and polite. The room was amazing the bed was very comfortable. The shower was the best part of the room lol, also I loved the breakfast and how the breakfast changed the next morning. Definitely will return!!

I loved my stay at the Riu Plaza Chicago! From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The hotel is modern, stylish, and impeccably clean. My room was spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. We had a hired car and the hotel arranged a valet for us.

The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of downtown Chicago, making it easy to walk to shopping, restaurants, and major attractions. The views from the hotel are stunning and really add to the overall experience.

Cons:

Only thing was the rooftop being closed during winter :(

Pros:

Great people and prices at the bar, with beer promotion for Happy Hour and Super Bowl. Front desk very friendly and helpful. Included breakfast superb. Chromecast TV. Great bathroom.

Komfortowy pobyt - znakomite śniadania
Pros:

Elegancki hotel. Bardzo czysto i przede wszystkim przepyszne śniadania. Duży wybór, super jakościowe produkty - to na bardzo duży plus. Wygodne łóżka i czysty pokój. Codzienne sprzątanie.

Cons:

Niestety nie podobała mi się obsługa personelu na DESK'u - szczególnie Pan Frank , który najpierw kazał czekać naszej rodzinie z dwójką dzieci prawie 1h w okolicy 11PM - ponieważ rezerwacja z booking nie wyświetlała mu się na monitorze mimo iż ja miałem ją potwierdzoną. Potem jak nas zalogował - około 1AM zadzwonił do pokoju że muszę z 11 piętra zjechać do niego z paszportami bo chce sobie uzupełnić informacje - to była tragedia !!! Frank - do zwolnienia!

Amazing experience overall.
Pros:

Right in the middle of Magnificent mile. Plenty of shopping, restaurants, and things to do. Being December the roof top bar was closed. But the lobby bar was awesome. Great bedding, huge bathrooms, very very comfortable stay.

Cons:

The first night we arrived, the bartender was excellent and the drinks were great. The second night, a Saturday, was extremely crowded. A large group watching a football game became loud and unruly; at one point, someone threw a beer bottle on the floor, shattering it. The drinks that night were mediocre at best. We moved to the opposite side of the lounge, but later there was another commotion due to an argument between fans of opposing teams. One fan from the losing team angrily confronted the manager, saying they felt unsafe. The group remained very loud and rowdy throughout the evening.
I also would not recommend the hotel breakfast—it is overpriced. There are many excellent breakfast and brunch options within walking distance of the hotel.

Pros:

El Riu cumplió sobradamente con lo prometido. Incluso nos dejaron ingresar a la habitacion un par de horas antes de lo estipulado para el check in. Para destacar, la ambalidad del personal. La única recomendacion seria que no hay quién te ayude con la puerta giratoria de entrada y salida. Es super pesada, y con valijas...casi imposible atravesarla sin ayuda. Y la persona que esta en la puerta no lo hace.
