Great location in a beautiful part of Ireland not far from Youghal.

Room with a 'sea' view
Pros:

Situation is beautiful, beside the River Blackwater. House is modern and rooms well sized. Husband and wife owners are charming and attentive for breakfast.

Both work hard to make an enjoyable stay. Good parking by house. Nice bathroom with modern shower & double bath tub. Water was always very hot.

Cons:

Two small niggles, bedroom had no table or dressing table, but bedside tables are large. Second one, in bathroom no shelf for toiletries or to place sponge bag. Double bath fitted as jacuzzi, but did not function, a disappointment.

Overall a poor stay
Pros:

Nice lodge but lots of dust everywhere

Cons:

The viewing window was full of dirty streaks due to faulty double glazing made us feel as though we were in a derelict building, not nice!
