Hotel was beautiful and rooms were clean and spacious. Service by hotel staff was impeccable - super friendly and helpful with travel planning. Buffet breakfast had an excellent selection for adults and kids.
The hotel is very clean, and the staff are always available and willing to help with anything you need.
The rooms are exceptionally clean, and you can clearly notice the modern technological touches throughout both the hotel and the rooms.
The location is also excellent, making it very convenient for walking around Taichung and exploring the city.
Everything about my stay was excellent. The room, service, and overall experience were truly great.
However, one thing that really disappointed me was the policy at the “Rolling Bar” inside the hotel.
Apparently, there is a minimum order requirement of around 800 TWD per person. As a guest staying at the hotel, I found this quite frustrating. After a long day, I simply wanted to sit down and enjoy a beer that costs about 200 TWD, but I was told that I still needed to meet the 800 TWD minimum.
I can understand this type of policy for people coming from outside the hotel. However, it feels unreasonable to apply the same rule to guests who are already staying at the hotel and paying for their rooms.
Charging hotel guests extra just to sit and have a simple drink doesn’t feel very welcoming.
If someone from management happens to read this review, I would strongly encourage reconsidering this policy for hotel guests.
This is the only reason I gave 9/10 stars.
