The drug users loud in the next room, the house was cold during the night bed was on the floor the bed was rock hard. The hostel house manager couldn't speak english. The house manager sniffed a towel and handed it to us, I am sure it was not clean.
People in and out of the house late. We ended up just leaving it was in a scary location. The bathroom was falling apart. One dusty fan in the room no blankets. The floor was dirty. The manager aloud people in using cash and no ID, so much for the saftey of others in the home. It took one of the other guest going to get the house manager before she would even acknowledge us at the door, we waited 15 minutes, knocking at the door before I open the door, which was unlocked asking if anybody knew where we were supposed to check in and who we were supposed to talk to It seemed like a one night come down off drugs hotel than a comfortable safe place to sleep while passing through next time I will just pay the extra 20$ for holiday inn.

Crowded and noisy

Your Parking: Well, there is layer upon layer of trash in the motor court (just kidding, it's just dirt and weeds and abandoned cars... and trash). They say they dump their construction waste here. Ok, not really, BUT there is tons of debris from transients camping out, and then tons of dumped hazardous waste from mechanic work (maybe they will use all the old tires for bunkers).

Lockers: It says there are lockers, but they are not usable, because someone who doesn't live there left their stuff locked in a locker and no one has a bolt cutter to clear it out.

Refrigerator: It says there is a refrigerator. There are two refrigerators, only one works and is small... there is no room for you to store anything... I was able to get a shelf of my own of freezer space, but gave up on the idea of freezing anything for myself and just bought frozen food for always hungry men.

Theft: People come in who don't live there. Any theft, they blame the "Little Black Boy" who is innocent as far as I can see it. All the problems just come down to two people, and I hate to say this... but David (Aka 'Sour Patch of Fountain De Amor... you'll know which one that is soon enough... who sorta works there), and Rosa/Rose/Leticia... who knows... the ones paid.

Thing is... no matter how hard you try, things will come up missing. There is a camera, but it only catches white people. I guess. You have Sour Patch come in for some days, and then gone for some other days. Oddly while he is gone, things seem to be ok. I am not sure why that is.

Property Security: On the other side of the wall are train tracks. I can imagine Transients scaling the wall to sleep in the motor court, and vice versa. There was a woman, who appeared to have had too much meth in her life, come to collect a cash deposit for a guest who left. Turned out the woman was sued by that guest.

They ask for cash at their 3 locations extra. Paying online wasn’t enough. I had to call officers on them and the guy was rude and disrespectful. And the lady the manager was listening to my phone conversations with him. No privacy.

They are very unclean. They house people long term while, advertising as a short term hostel. They have very deceptive business practices. Often changing rates and booking location availability last minute. Most of the people who frequent their organzation apparently don't mind living in filth. They allow alcohol, smoking, and children, which is in contrast to their said standards and mission.

The houses in the neighborhood look lovely and artsy, then there is this house. It sits behind another house that is not associated with the manager. There is broken furniture outside. There are several rooms in this house, it was a maze navigating through the hallways. The fridge is in a hall, separating different areas of the house. The floor in the room i used is all cracked, I kept my shoes on the whole time. The seat on one of the toilets did not fit properly, the faucet moved whrn turning water on and off, the other bathroom had minimal lighting. Toilet paper is not stocked in either bathroom.
