The owner is very nice and accommodating and made sure we had everything for a comfortable night’s stay. The town is lovely and welcoming and just a short drive from the airport.

Warm Cretan welcome.
Pros:

Amazing location in the heart of the Archanes. Beautiful room, warm and comfy on a chilly April evening. Eleni was the perfect host, she had even put the heater on in our room. Guests’ terrace, books on local history and fresh flowers in the room are just a few examples of how guests are looked after at Carpe Diem.

Kurzaufenthalt in angenehmer Atmosphäre
Pros:

Zentrale Lage in sehr schön renoviertem alten Haus. Herzliches Besitzerpaar. Hervorragendes reichhaltiges Frühstück mit vorwiegend lokalen Produkten. Ein Ort zum Verweilen und Herunterfahren. Gerne wieder.

Elini est très gentille et accueillante,la chambre très jolie et très propre ,literie très confortable....Le petit déjeuner crétois est très bon et maison ,le village est charmant et merite le detour!!!merci pour tout Elini!!!

Sehr schönes Zimmer in perfekter Lage
Pros:

Sehr bequemes Bett. Es war auf unseren Wunsch hin eine zweite Bettdecke vorhanden. Wir haben ein Upgrade bekommen, das Zimmer war sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, modern und geräumig - es kam uns luxuriös vor. Das ursprünglich traditionelle Haus ist sehr schön und wurde unserer Ansicht nach perfekt renoviert.
Die Lage war für uns perfekt: Ca. 20 Minuten mit dem Auto zum Flughafen, ca. 3 Minuten zu Fuß zum Hauptplatz mit den Tavernen. Das Personal war bei der Ankunft sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und bei der Abreise am.nächsten Tag sehr herzlich. Vielen Dank, das hat uns unseren regnerischen Urlaubsstart versüßt!

Cons:

Wie oft hier auf Kreta, war das Zimmer bei der Ankunft stark "parfümiert". Da es nur ein sehr kleines Fenster gab, war das Lüften etwas schwierig. Der Druck in der Dusche war extrem schwach.

Charming and quiet small hotel located in the old village. Warm welcoming from the nice owner. A great cretean breakfast was served close to our comfortable room. Would come back without question.

Up market accommodation tucked away in picturesque Archanes
Pros:

Carpe Diem is an excellent hotel tucked into a backstreet of Archanes. The room we stayed in was well appointed and very comfortable. We stayed in Winter and were able to heat the room nicely. The location is perfect – just a couple of minutes walk to the town square where there are a number of restaurants and tavernas. Highly recommended!

Pros:

It was great staying at Carpe Diem! We felt so warmly welcomed by Eleni. The room was beautiful and stylish as well as super clean. The building itself is very impressive and the restoration done shows a lot of care. Eleni gave us also very nice local suggestions. We totally recommend this place and hope to come again! Wer ein kleines, gemütliches Hotel mitten in der Stadt sucht ist hier genau richtig :)
Pros:

Das gesamte Team war super lieb und hilfsbereit.
Die Zimmer sind modern und sehr sauber.
Das Hotel liegt mitten in der Stadt und alles, was man braucht, ist fußläufig erreichbar.
Parkplätze sind um die Ecke auf einem kleinen öffentlichen Platz oder in den schmalen Gassen auch vorhanden.
Das Frühstück war auch sehr lecker und wird individuell zusammen gestellt.
Eleni (die Inhaberin) nimmt sich Zeit für ihre Gäste und hilft bei Fragen gerne weiter.

accueil extraordinaire et en français par Elena, hôtel de charme en plein milieu du village d'Archanes, belle chambre confortable mais légèrement bruyante parfois car elle donne dans une toute petite rue, petit déjeuner très bien sur belle petite terrasse, hôtel situé à proximité du centre du village et des restos, et à 5 km du site de Knossos, 10 du centre de Héraklion

Cons:

toute petite piscine située au fond de l'accueil - pas envie de l'utiliser - Elena devrait l'enlever de ses photos et de son descriptif ; prix finalement un peu cher pour la prestation

On y vient une fois et on a envie d’y revenir
Pros:

Plus qu’un hébergement, une belle rencontre avec Eleni et Andrea qui nous ont accueillis avec beaucoup de chaleur et d’humanité. Le Carpe Diem est situé dans le vieux village d’Archanes tellement authentique avec son coiffeur, son petit café tenu par la même famille depuis plusieurs générations, ses ruelles. Ne pas essayer de se garer devant le carpe Diem il y a une place juste à côté. On vous recommande le restaurant le Palikaros qui sert des poissons frais pêchés par le propriétaire
Le petit déjeuner est parfait , des produits locaux et de qualité
Chambres et literie très confortables
On recommande à 200%
