We would stay again in a heartbeat.
Pros:

Amazing staff and breakfasts. Very comfy beds. Beautiful decor.

Cons:

It was extremely expensive as we stayed during the World Cup, but at least we were well looked after. Would have liked to be able to crack open a window for fresh air.

Super location, staff excellent but street noises way too loud
Pros:

Breakfast was delicious. Staff excellent. Clean and updated. Location was perfect for all the venues that we wanted to see. This hotel would be perfect if you could sound proof it.

Cons:

The score is lower from me, strictly due to the loudness and noise of the street down below. I had read other reviews about this noise and asked for a higher floor room , which we received. Again, staff was excellent and I was grateful. But when it came to sleeping, the car noise, horns, police sirens and revved engines from the street below was too much. Even the AC blasting could not drown out the noise below. A shame really, because the location was perfect. But I need it to be more quiet.

Extremely disappointing
Pros:

This was a good location in the centre of town, near Newbury Street and Boston Common.

Cons:

We have stayed at a W Hotel in Barcelona and found it tired and in need of refurbishment. The W Hotel in Boston was similar but the cost was exorbitant, which I know was due to the World Cup. However, we didn't even have breakfast included for $1,000 a night and then they tried to charge us an unexpected $40 night resort fee when we checked out. The experience was price gouging at its worst. We did have breakfast a couple of times, but it was dreadful. The bar was disappointing too and the noise on a Friday and Saturday was unbearable. I don't usually complain about a hotel visit, but this was dreadfully disappointing.

Very poor value for money. Way over priced
Pros:

Very little

Cons:

Noise was terrible - own a club that goes to 3am and no double glazing.
Toilets stank - poor plumbing.
Value for money was terrible - added $45 to your bill to give a $20 meal credit.

Great option for Boston's Theater District
Pros:

Very nice comfortable room in the heart of the Theater District. We had a one-night staycation while we caught events in the area; the W was a great choice. Slightly more spacious rooms than your typical Boston closet.

Cons:

Street parking is the best option here. Fortunately during the day it's easy to come by. Prepare for a fight for metered spots. It's worth it.
