Clean, friendly but overcharges for FX exchange
Pros:

Reasonably clean basic hotel, excellent shower with hot water. Friendly staff. The only problem is they overcharge with the exchange rate. I offered to pay in USD, credit card or soles. Reservation was in USD. They did not accepted USD but overcharged around 5% for the exchange rate USD to soles compared with currency exchange shops in the same city. I hate this kind of hidden rip offs.

Pros:

Location is good, somewhat away from the crowded center.
Room was small for a double but well maintained
Drawback was no heating in the room that seems normal for these locations
Stuff was the best, all helpful and courteous. Kudos to the front desk staff!!!

Toller Blick vom Restaurant, Zimmer sehr kalt...
Pros:

In Huaraz hat man wohl nicht so viele Möglichkeiten nach europäischem Geschmack "ordentlich" (nicht luxuriös!) unterzukommen, und da hilft das Arawi Pastoruri durchaus aus der Klemme. Der Blick vom Restaurant im 7. Stock ist umwerfend, der Rest ist ordentlich, der Service freundlich bemüht. Uns ist unklar, ob es eine Heizung im Hotel gibt, unser Zimmer war jedenfalls eiskalt (Mitte August, also im dortigen Winter).
