Buen hotel de sus instalaciones

I rated this hotel as excellent to be fair. I scored 10s, not to hurt them on facilities or staff. I booked for the Carnival. While they attempted to get me to cancel my reservation like all hotels do during Carnival, they honored it. This is a HUGE plus! However, a four-bed family room became a two double-bed room along the way. Not OK for four unattached adults. I cancelled it because of this. They told me to cancel through Booking.com. I did. Booking.com told me to cancel through the hotel. I did. It never got cancelled. I received an email stating I cancelled and it was being reviewed. Booking.com sent an email that the Hotel never responded, so I should contact them again. I did. No reply. I received a welcome email. My cancellation in process was changed to state that I owed for the full reservation. I was never charged as far as I can tell. Now I am completing the survey about how I enjoyed my stay. I liked that in the end, I wasn't fighting over being charged. So they changed my reservation, which is bad. But held my room, REMARKABLE!
1] The reservation should not have changed from a family room to a double-bed room without telling me or asking me.
2] My communication with the hotel and with booking.com was completely unacceptable.
3] Had I not been an experienced Genius Tier 3 member, I would have been upset.
4] I understand that a hotel in a foreign country, during an event like Carnival, limited to the predetermined options available in the Booking.com template, might be overwhelmed or have difficulties.
5] I do not understand why Booking.com, which takes a 20% commission, finds it appropriate to abandon both its hotel and customer base to fend for themselves and takes no responsibility and plays no role, other than AI generated messages.

En la habitación las cortinas, no son lo suficientemente gruesas o oscuras para la luz de la mañana.
Las camas no son tan comodas habia un olor a humedad super penetrante y mucho ruodo del lado externo

No me respetaron la reserva, horas antes de llegar al hotel me comunique y todo andaba bien pero al llegar al hotel me salieron con que no había reserva, que en pocas palabras Booking no tenía porque reservar algo sin haber capacidad en el hotel.
No me gustó nada una falta de respeto hacia el usuario
Segun lo que nos comentaron en la recepcion sobre venden las habitaciones en fechas como los partidos de la seleccion, a nosotros nos asignaron habitaciones por que llegamos temprano, pero vimos casos donde no respetaron las reservas de booking.
Nada el personal no colabora si se presenta alguna necesidad
El personal no quiere entregar factura electrónica por mas qué insisto y dicen que ya se envió y nada, pésima atención
