Not a pleasant stay. But the location is good.
Pros:

The entrance looks good. But the inside facilities are quite old.

Cons:

The mattress is stiff like wooden board. They did not make up the bed after a day, but only change the towels.

Reception girls don’t speak english.
I asked an help to organize 1-day trip to great wall but they did nothing to help.
Position indicated here on booking doesn’t correspond to the actual location. It’s almost 2km far from there, closer to the drum tower. So that was disappointing because i’ve chosen this property for the position -“closer” to forbidden city-.

Pros:

The staff were friendly and helpful.
The buildings architecture is a great feel.
Great location once you work your bearings out.
Nice to be able to open door and window to receive a breeze from a balcony.

Cons:

Bed has an extremely hard mattress.
Pillows were flat and uncomfortable for us.
Hotel is placed in a different location on booking.com map. This threw our bearing out at first, thinking our location was out on our map, but it is the hotel that is out on the map. Trust your location in maps and you will find where you are.
