They did not look at Expedia for 9 months, so my reservation was not noticed. Do not use this hotel.
Very friendly owner who has to do a lot of work himself. Good location. Bright comfortable rooms and lovely dog to walk. Nice garden to relax in.

The photos do not match the current state of the place. The garden is a total mess full of trash and rundown; evidently the photos used online were taken years ago.
The rooms need heaters as it’s freezing in the evening due to old windows and the wifi didn’t work for me during my entire stay.
I found the guy at the front desk to be incredibly unprofessional. Upon check-in he was immediately attempting to sell me his services as a self-proclaimed ‘spiritual teacher’ after my retreat, despite me asking politely for him to just show me to my room. Upon checkout I had to go into the kitchen to get any kind of service from him and even then was ignored when I told him I’m checking out. Such a strange experience.
This place has such potential but in its current state it’s a no-go. Go elsewhere 👍🏼

Comfortable room, great view, nice garden and quiet
This should not be a VIP property. It was dirty, smelly, noisy and honestly the worst place we've stayed in Peru. The staff tried to charge us twice for the room, which had hair and unidentifiable residue from a previous guest.
I arrived at the hotel very early, and Juan was incredibly kind to let me check in early and even provided me with some food. The lady in kitchen was very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location is excellent, close to market and some good restaurants, making it easy to explore the area.

One key opened two rooms and I mistakenly noticed when I was opening the wrong room. They changed me to another room but I would have preferred to leave to another hotel and receive reimbursement. They didn't want to reimburse me.

Breakfast..poor...given one egg, roll, slice of cheese and maybe an eighth of a avocado. Not as advertised in the pictures.
Weak shower with intermittent hot water. Couldn't wash hair!
No side light or switch. Had to get out of bed to the door to switch off light.

Bathroom was rustic, shower was dirty and mildewy, did not feel comfortable taking a shower in it, only 1 small roll of toilet paper without any backup when we ran out
It was a peaceful place with a super friendly owner. We had two relaxing days there. Room was clean and spacious. The garden was beautiful.
We looked for a place to recover from travelling and found Samay Wasi, which totally exceeded our expectations. The place is centrally located in the town of Pisac but totally quiet with a perfect garden to chill. The night was quiet and the bed was the best I had in 9 months of travelling. The owner was absolutely great. He packed our breakfast in boxes since we had to leave early, he helped me to pick my clothes from laundry when I forgot to pick it the night earlier (shop was closed) and he even went to buy a guitar when we asked if there was one so we could play and joined the jam session! Totally recommend to stay at this place!
