Tayta Surf House

Hands down the best spot in Lobitos. Jerry is a great guy and really made us feel at home. The place is really good value too. Thanks for an awesome and memorable stay!! Special shoutout to wee Greegsy (as we called him) the dog - what the little fella lacks in looks he makes up for in personality!! Definitely be back!! Cheers from Scotland

Nous sommes venus pour surfer et nous avons passé un super séjour ! Jerry est très sympathique et toujours prêt à aider. Il nous a conseillé Diego comme professeur de surf, et c’était une excellente recommandation. Diego est un prof très patient et passionné. On s’est vraiment régalés et on a beaucoup progressé. Merci pour tout, c’était top ! 🌊🏄‍♂️😊

I loved everything there. The postion of the hostel is perfect to watch all the beaches and the waves. Our room had a beautiful view. We could easily get everything we need for surfing (boards, wetsuit, classes). But the best is the owner (Jerry). He is super helpful, caring and funny. He helpt us with everything and he makes you feel like home. We spend only one week but with the people there it directly felt super familiar. The hostel has space for yoga and the internet is good for working. I also liked the full equipped kitchen. It was perfect. We will come back!

A really calm and quiet place to stay with the best view on the surf ! Jerry is super kind and open and always available for anything you might need or any advice on things to do and see. I got the best sleep ever- the tranquility is divine! Plus, with a direct view on the waves you can see how they are and within 2 minutes be on the beach for a surf! So perfect.

We had a great stay at the house and immediately felt at home. Jerry is an excellent host and helped us organise our onward journey. Bonus: the two dogs and cats made the place extra homey.

Its pretty much been said in all other reviews but this place ticks all the boxes for a great stay. Jerry is an awesome host and goes above and beyond for his guests. He even took me to the local clinic when I got sick and translated for me. If you are considering going to Lobitos, this is the place to stay, period. If you are hesitating about going to Lobitos, don’t hesitate and just go.

Incredible stay at Tayta Surf House! I initially booked for 2 nights but ended up extending to almost 2 weeks - it was that good.

Jerry, the owner, is an exceptional host - welcoming, friendly, and always ready for great conversations. The location is unbeatable, with stunning views of the surf break right from my room. I could easily check the waves and be on the beach in minutes.

The house itself is beautiful and modern, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Surfing with Jerry was a highlight, and his local knowledge was invaluable. The company of his two dogs, Ocho and Una, and three cats added a homey touch to the experience.

Great place, great host and great people! The hostel is situated on a hilltop overlooking the ocean with stunning views and just a 2min walk to the beach. There's 2 surf schools nearby and yummy dinning options 5min into town. Amazing logistics for people looking to surf and chill by the beach. Jerry was an awesome host and the Tayta Surf House is truely a gem where good vibes and cool people mingle - highly recommended!

Absolutely loved my stay here. I originally booked two nights and ended up staying for the week! It’s a house that feels like home and has the best view of all the surf spots. Jerry is a great host with a wealth of knowledge to share, especially if you’re wondering where the best spot to surf is or how to get there. I hope to be back soon!
