A beautiful boutique hotel with 6 rooms in a great spot 5 minutes walk to the new port and 15 from the old. The bedroom was a fantastic size. Breakfast a great choice and a small but good pool. I'd highly recommend it. As for Spetses, I'd recommend eating at the Old Port rather than the new.

Beautiful traditional building exquisitely maintained & managed by spiros & Maria & team. Rooms 4&5 have beautiful patios to enjoy a pre dinner drink. The room was spotless & it’s the only hotel out of hundreds I’ve stayed in that made up the room before we’d even finished breakfast. Spetses is a very special and classy island & Monte Mare is a credit to the island.
When visiting again I wouldn’t consider any other hotel. Nothing was too much trouble a true example of hospitality at its best.
Absolutely nothing
The property is exquisite and so well kept. Grounds are clean very well maintained, also has a wonderful plunge pool to cool off in. Spiro our host was outstanding with lots of information and helpful in every way. Rooms were clean and tidy. Breakfast was plentiful and courtyard was so inviting to sit and rest in. We absolutely loved staying here !

Some mosquitoes after the rain even though there are nets on the window. Maybe the outlet repellent can be useful.
Beautiful building attractively designed both outside and within. Maria and Spiros are lovely hosts making our stay comfortable and relaxed.
Mare Monte was fabulous in every respect, family owned and run with attention to detail, great breakfast and relaxation area, large immaculately cleaned rooms. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Friendly and super helpful owners. They arranged golf buggy so that 4 of us could circle the wonderful island of Spetses. Highly recommend and much better than big impersonal hotels
