Everything was extremely clean, the hosts welcoming and the place spectacular. We saw one of the best sunsets we’d ever seen the pictures don’t do it justice. It was absolutely incredible. The dinner and breakfast were also delicious truly and amazing experience thank you!
Nice huts, very helpful, stuff good food . Perfect location to start a hiking tour. Great view over the canyon.
Parking space is steep, but will improve in the future.
Beautiful views. Great dinners and breakfasts. Suleiman was an excellent host and arranged a fantastic hike with Ahmed, who was good fun and very informative. The lunch made by Ahmed's wife was really tasty. We recommend the Sheq Al-Reesh hike with Ahmed!.
Luxury Huts is 5 minutes walk from the village down a steep hill - we liked this because there are no dogs barking at night.
Not a dislike, but it's cold in February, so bring plenty of clothes!
Man müsste eigentlich 12 Punkte geben .

Asked to cancel the booking but they harassed me many times to pay for the stay that didn’t happen

Dana Luxury Hut is a well managed family run business. Located in the heart of the Dana Biosphere Reserve, it is an excellent base for hiking. Suleiman is a warm and efficient host. The details of hiking routes offered were provided via booking.com chat prior to arrival. My hiking route was Shaq al Reesh, 5-hour dry hike, which was manageable during winter. Hiking through the stunning landscapes of the Dana Biosphere Reserve was an authentic journey into the heart of Bedouin culture, completed with meals cooked over firewood. Ahmed was a superb guide. Thanks for the warm Bedouin hospitality!
Heating is via a portable gas cylinder, which cannot be left on overnight due to safety reason. Therefore, late nights or early mornings can be quite chilly. Don extra layers to stay comfortable.
When I found the doors to the rooms cannot be locked (due to construction error), Suleiman, the son of the owner reassured me that Dana is a small village, everyone knows everyone so it is very safe. That may be the case, but that just avoids the issue. He may be right but it does not address issue of safety and security due to other guests. It is just an excuse to avoid solving the problem which could not be solved on the spot of course. I booked 2 rooms. The first night we arrived, both rooms ran out of hot water. Suleiman blamed it on the weather (no sun, no solar power). He said he has already started to heat the water using electricity but has to be throttled to avoid a power trip (in hindsight that is baloney. You either have it on or not). He promised there would be hot water after one and a half hours and asked me to wait, which I naively did. At 12am, the water was still freezing. Went to bed late because I believed his lie. Bathroom doors cannot be locked either (see picture - no locking mechanism). Gas heating ran out in the middle of the night. They advertised a fireplace - there is none. Saving grace - if you take transport back from Feynan after doing the Wadi Dana trail, Ahmed, who works for the property will be your driver. He is a good and generous man with a kind heart. Use Ahmed's service and you would have a good conversation with him and gain insights of life in Jordan.
No fireplace as advertised, Small bathroom where the WC area and shower cubicle are next to each other so WC area gets wet after a shower. Instead of providing a bath mat, they give you a floor squeegee (see picture). So be prepared to have to work while you stay in a "luxury" hut. Suleiman kept telling me that I have been given a "free" upgrade to a room with mountain view. I was too polite to tell him that I booked and paid more for those.
Very peaceful, clean and pristine. Their home cooked food was the best we had !
