Pros:

The hotel and the staff were excellent! The hotel is located right in the city center, but you'll need to leave the city to enjoy the beaches.

One thing to keep in mind is that Uber/taxis can be difficult to get. Sometimes you may have to wait up to 40 minutes. A taxi from the airport to the hotel costs about €20.

The beaches are beautiful. Ammoudara was our favorite because it's the easiest to reach and very nice. It's about 10 minutes away by Uber, which costs up to €14. Beach chairs cost €7 per person for the whole day. The sand is soft, there are no stones, and the beach is very comfortable.

Ligaria and Agia Pelagia are farther away (around 30–40 minutes), so transportation is more difficult. However, the scenery and the color of the sea are even more beautiful there. At Ligaria, the beach is much rockier, and there are many rocks and seaweed on the seabed, which makes getting into the water a bit risky unless you wear water shoes.

All of the beaches have great tavernas, and there are supermarkets nearby if you prefer to buy your own drinks.

The food was fantastic everywhere we ate.

Cons:

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. Just keep in mind that you'll probably want to visit a different beach each day to make the most of your stay.

Reception. Avevamo comunicato l’arrivo dopo le 23 ossia dopo il loro orario di chiusura. Ho ricevuto conferma da Booking ma dalla struttura solo e-mail per chiedere se avevamo bisogno di un taxi. Ho mandato e-mail per chiedere indicazioni e non ho ricevuto risposta. Abbiamo telefonato al nostro arrivo e ci hanno comunicato il codice per telefono per poter prendere la chiave. La sera dopo siamo rientrati dopo le 23 e non avevamo codice per entrare. Abbiamo avvisato del check out di mattina alle 6.30 e ci hanno detto che avrebbero preparato un box per la colazione e invece nel frigo non c’ era niente. Pulizia. Passano ogni mattina a rifare il letto. Per 5 notti avrebbero potuto cambiare almeno 1 volta gli asciugamani

Das Frühstück war sehr gut , guter Honig , Kaffee sehr gut , mandelmilch , Trennung von WC und Dusche , großes bequemes Bett , Kühlschrank , eigener Balkon , Fernseher , toller holzboden schön designtes Zimmer , ich habe nur den Ventilator nachts nicht ausgekriegt .

Cozy Hotel in Heraklion
Pros:

The hotel was perfect for our short stay (4 days) in heraklion. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. We asked if they can order a taxi for us for the next day. This went super easy and smooth (15€ to the airport) The room is very nice and the bed is very comfortable. The shower was warm and the water pressure very good. The breakfast (toast, bread, eggs, sausages, ham, salami, 2 types of cheese, Greek Salad (tomato, cucumber, onion, feta), jam, honey, choco cream, peanut butter, tahini, little pastries, sometimes pancakes and smoothie, Greek yogurt, cereals, nuts, fruits, milk, almond milk, coffee variety, juices) is delicious and has a lot of variety and some things changes every day. The location is perfect as the direct neighborhood has some nice places including restaurants, coffee place and a little kiosk with friendly owners. The city center is 5-10 min walk.

Cons:

We had a balcony but there was no comfortable furniture (chairs, tables) to relax. Just two wooden logs.
