SSAW Garden Hotel Beijing

我大约在20点办理入住，被安排到0层最角落的一间非常差的房间，与我在预订时看到的照片不一致。进入房间后发现床单上有毛发，我立即要求更换床品。

第二天早上打开窗户，窗外是一个自行车棚和杂物间的景观。如果酒店把这个布满灰尘的自行车棚仓库角落称为“城市景观”，那我真的感到非常震惊。

整体体验非常糟糕。本来计划住三晚，但只住了一晚就换了酒店。

另外，晚上办理入住时，前台工作人员还特别强调房间需要优先安排给长住客人。那是否意味着像我这种短期入住的客人，就只能被安排在角落尽头、面对自行车棚的房间？

Je suis arrivé vers 20h et on m’a donné une chambre vraiment pas terrible, tout au bout, au rez-de-chaussée, et surtout rien à voir avec les photos sur Booking.com. En entrant, j’ai vu des “Pilosité humaine” sur les draps, donc j’ai demandé tout de suite qu’on change le linge de lit.

Le lendemain matin, j’ouvre la fenêtre et là… vue sur un abri à vélos et un débarras. Franchement, si pour l’hôtel ça c’est une “vue sur la ville”, c’est assez hallucinant.

Globalement, très mauvaise expérience. J’avais prévu de rester trois nuits, mais je suis parti après une seule.

En plus, à l’arrivée, la réception m’a bien fait comprendre que les chambres étaient d’abord réservées aux clients qui restent longtemps. Donc en gros, les clients de passage doivent accepter les pires chambres, au fond du couloir avec vue sur le local à vélos ?

I checked in around 8 PM and was assigned a very poor room located in the far corner on the ground floor, which did not match the photos I saw when booking on Booking.com. After entering the room, I noticed body hair on the bed sheets and immediately requested a change of linens.

The next morning, I opened the window and found the view was of a bicycle shed and a storage area. If the hotel considers this dusty corner of a bike storage area to be a “city view,” that is quite shocking.

Overall, the experience was very disappointing. I originally planned to stay for three nights, but I left after just one.

Additionally, when I checked in, the front desk staff emphasized that rooms are prioritized for long-stay guests. Does that mean short-term guests like me are expected to accept rooms at the end of the

They could get an additional coffee machine in the restaurant. There is only one which is a bit slow.

The room was a bit hot and the aircon does not work. It seems this is related with rules as they can’t provide aircon outside of summer season We were provided with a fan.
The location inside a Hutong makes it a bit tricky to access but it is only 2 min walking from a main street.

The room was infested with insects (specifically fruit flies), they were everywhere - inside the toilet, on walls and bed sheets. There also was a strong smell of sewage in the room. The location was not the best also.

It’s positive and negative: it’s located in a hutong, basically a very narrow lane. For experiencing the ‘real Beijing’, it can be wonderful. If you struggle with the local chaos, it can be overwhelming (but you can always take taxis).

A few small things could be improved. There was only one small roll of toilet paper in the room, which might not be enough even for a one-night stay. The bed was about 1.9 m long, which may feel short for taller guests. Soundproofing could also be better, as we could hear the upstairs kids jumping at night. All curtains and lights are controlled electronically, which is very modern but may not suit everyone.
