A wonderful stay. The camp is situated in a wonderful location with stunning views. We received a very warm welcome. The restaurant is atmospheric. We had the opportunity to take a safari to the Ngorongoro Crater, organized by the camp. An unforgettable experience. We will definitely be back. ♥️ Best regards.

Beautiful views and facilities, but limited value for money
Pros:

Nos alojamos dos veces en Rothia Valley Tented Lodge, en la zona de Rothia, cerca de Karatu, durante nuestro viaje al Ngorongoro y Serengeti. La ubicación es preciosa, con unas vistas espectaculares del valle que hacen que la estancia sea muy especial. La primera vez nos alojamos en una Deluxe Room tipo cabina con bañera en la terraza y la experiencia fue fantástica: la habitación era muy bonita, con estilo y encanto, la cena estuvo bien y el personal fue amable en todo momento. En general, el lodge ofrece un entorno tranquilo y cuidado que convierte la estancia en algo muy agradable y recomendable, especialmente si se elige este tipo de cabina.

Cons:

La localización es difícil de encontrar y el primer día Google Maps nos llevó por un camino largo y complicado, lo que alargó mucho la ruta. En nuestra segunda estancia elegimos una Room with Balcony, que en realidad es una tienda, y la experiencia no fue tan positiva. Aunque la estancia en sí estuvo bien, el precio de más de 300 € por noche nos pareció desproporcionado para el nivel de la habitación, ya que varias cremalleras interiores estaban rotas y la limpieza no estaba a la altura de lo esperado. En este caso la relación calidad-precio nos resultó excesiva. Además, observamos una fuerte variación en los precios: el mismo día de nuestra estancia comprobamos en Booking y la habitación aparecía con casi un 40% de descuento respecto al precio que habíamos pagado, lo cual deja sensación de poca transparencia y afecta a la percepción de la relación calidad-precio.

Lage Mitten im Regenwald, dass muss einem bzgl der Tierwelt bewusst sein. Personal wie überall in Afrika freundlich . Zelte sind mit dem Notwendigsten ausgestattet. Gepflegte Anlage. Viel roter Sand. Abends Begleitung nach dem Dinner zum Zelt. Abendessen gut, Frühstück für Afrika normal.

Cons:

Wir haben das Waisenhaus besucht. Wir hatten sehr viele Spenden dabei. Die Situation war uns selbst peinlich - die Kinder waren lustlos , sie bekommen jeden Tag Klamotten - alles unserer Meinung nach im Überfluss- und müssen sich dann bei den Touristen bedanken … im Nachhinein hätten wir die Spenden lieber Kindern auf der Straße gegeben, die hätten es nötiger gehabt …

Pros:

Rhotia Valley is een bijzondere plek. Fantastisch verblijf gehad. Accommodatie en uitzicht super. Personeel erg vriendelijk, lekker gegeten.. Onze kinderen hebben nog gevoetbald en verstoppertje gespeeld met de kinderen van het kindertehuis.

Pros:

This place was amazing. I didn’t know we are goinf to stay at the border of Ngorongoro we heard hyenas howling at night and elephants eating tree leaves during the day just in front of our balcony. I recommend stay longer and unwind they have really good cuisine here and water at the pool si so refreshing!

Cons:

Only one thing was the road to the property which I do not consider their fault but be kindly noted that 4x4 abd higher clearance is very much recommended!

PERFECT

I loved everything about that place ,the staff were amaizing,the food was good.perfect place for your vacation or just relaxing away from home.

except for the ROAD ,it was terrible ,had a hard time getting there for sure.but in the end it was worthy it.
