Fabulous
Pros:

Amazing room with very nice bathroom. Total contactless but on another side so easy, very straightforward. Location is perfect and definitely will book it again if in this area. Thank you very much.

Above all out of 10 I’d give it a solid 9 due to the door issue but above all I enjoyed my stay

Good room at reasonable price
Pros:

Very modern in neutral colours, clean, big TV, good shower, heater, small fridge, towels, extra pillow, kettle with drink accessories. Thin mattress but still comfortable.

Cons:

Fiddly to enter access codes on main door and room door. Surrounding area a bit downbeat.

Pros:

Nice location. Nice comfortable bed.

Cons:

Awful smell as you enter the property, needs a good clean in the room, stains on carpet, need a bit of a refresh if I’m honest.

Overall, my experience was disappointing.
Cons:

I stayed at Bernard Rooms in Southampton for one night. Unfortunately, my experience was not very positive.

The communication before my stay was quite slow. I contacted the host about a week in advance to ask if it would be possible to extend my stay by one night, but the response came very late, so I ended up booking somewhere else.

When I arrived at the room, there was a very unpleasant smell, particularly coming from the mattress. It unfortunately smelled as if it had not been properly cleaned, which made it uncomfortable to sleep there. I even had to turn the mattress over and buy extra sheets to make it manageable for the night.

Another issue was the window — it could not stay open properly because there was no holder to secure it, so I had to use my belongings to keep it open to get some fresh air.

I also contacted the host on the same day to ask if it would be possible to change rooms, but unfortunately I did not receive a response.

I think the property could be much better with some improvements, especially replacing the mattress and improving communication with guests.

An adequate stay for the price I paid

Cons:

A couple of cleanliness issues. The toilet seat was cracked and there were a couple of stains on the bedding.
