Beautiful little hotel. We loved the interior, the comfortable beds, and the location was good as well. We left the car parked on the street for two days - it's safe and there were no issues.
The walls are super thin, you hear everything that's going on in the adjacent rooms. We slept with the fan on - that helped.

The overall experience was disappointing and fell short of what you would expect from a proper hotel stay.
The bathroom door wouldn’t close, the toiletries were of very poor quality, and there was no drinking water provided in the room — all basic things that should be standard.
The self check-in and check-out process felt overly automated and impersonal. On top of that, receiving multiple text messages with reminders about quiet hours, check-out time, and late checkout penalties was unnecessary and intrusive. Instead of improving the experience, it made the stay feel transactional rather than welcoming.
Hospitality is about comfort and attention to detail, and unfortunately, this place lacked both. Overall, it doesn’t deliver the experience you expect when booking a hotel.
Loved the style of the hotel, retro Craftsman style with handsome finishes.
Room and bathroom are quite small. Fine for an overnight but I would book a larger room for a longer stay.
El hotel es una casita reformada en un barrio cerca de Bishop Arts ( a 20 min caminando de la zona ). Esta en un barrio residencial normalito pero en Dallas hay que moverse en uber a todos sitios. La decoración es especial con un aire retro y hipster. Es pequeño pero mono. Habitaciones normales con cafetera, plancha y secador. Baño bonito, con amenities y ducha estilo retro. Tiene agua y hielo al final del pasillo como muchos hoteles americanos. El personal es super amable y a las 7 invitan a cerveza o vino para socializar. Es como una casa de huéspedes sin cafetería y sin nada pero un lugar estupendo para dormir tranquilo a 10 min en uber del centro. Lo recomendaría de nuevo por que es el tipo de hotel me gusta a mi. Yo no desayuno y me vale con un café. Bonito, a buen precio y personal amable.
La ubicación es un handicap pero el barrio es tranquilo y puedes ir andando a la zona de Bishop Arts. Suena muchísimo el aire acondicionado. Sale de una rejilla en el suelo y hace mucho ruido. Nadie de recepción ni yo misma supe apagarlo así que tuve que poner dos cojines encima para no escucharlo.
It's a small hotel, not too many rooms. Very clean and beautifully decorated room, we loved the colors and the hotel overall! The receptionist was exceptionally friendly and gave us perfect recommendations for the area. Our car was too big for the parking spaces behind the hotel but there were more than enough free of charge spaces right in front of the house. We had a perfect stay!

The hotel had been painstakingly restored, but with fantastic modern amenities. I loved the glass carafe and glasses to fil from the water and ice dispenser downstairs. I loved the jazz music they played downstairs at night. The bedding was comfortable. Great water pressure, plentiful hot water and good toiletries. Loved the freebie razor, toothbrush, etc in the lobby, you could grab if needed. And the hotel smelled good. I know that sounds silly.
The air conditioner/ heater in my room
Was very loud. I think that is because I was close to the main unit. Not a huge fan of the half shower door situation, but design-wise I can see why they installed that style.
The hotel interior is beautiful. Comfortable bed. Clean room. There is a microwave oven, refrigerator, and coffee maker. Nice staff.
The biggest minus is the toilet door. It is sliding, very difficult to close it (I don't know if it was broken in our room or if all the rooms have the same issue). There is very little space in the room. Also there is a parking lot, but it is very small - when we came back late at night, we couldn't find a place, so we parked on the street. It would be a long walk to the city center and the area didn't seem very safe in the evening, so it's better go by car. A $100 deposit is charged (returned within a week). I think that the price for one night ($130) is too expensive compared to the amenities provided - it didn't match our expectations (compared to the photos on booking).
